I think he is absolute turd... and I may be biased, but I cannot see anything about him apart from maybe his heading ability that suggests he is a great player.. Yes, hes scored a couple of goals for them, but come on... when he gets outplayed by someone it results in him looking utter s***.... like Bellamy on Saturday, made Vidic look like he had the pace of Richard Dunne wearing thigh high boots. He goes down like hes been shot half the time... slightest contact and he is over.

 

Just read a thread on Redcafe slagging off Carragher as not being world class... saying that hes not a patch on Vidic.. and got a couple of mates who are Mancs who go on about him as some kind of Jaap Stam revisited and he is like some kind of machine etc etc... a machine that falls over on the slightest contact maybe

exactly... not seen many first choice defenders look so out of depth as that performance on Saturday by him.. and the weekend before vs Fulham, he and VDS were all over the place.

As much as I absolutely hate the t*** I think duckface is outstanding, dont really see anything in Vidic though. Seems clumsy, gives away stupid free kicks and seems to have a habit of running towards strikers when the ball is played up and being battered for pace instead of holding his position. That said theyve got a very good defensive record so maybe im missing something.

Really don't rate Ferdinand, think he's the most overrated defender in world football to be honest. I would rather have Vidic in my side any day. Not saying he's perfect, just think he's quite solid - last weekend apart.

think he is a very good centre back - has had some dodgy games and was poor against us but ion the whole he has been exactly what they needed: someone to do forgetfuls dirty work.

Carra and Agger will be fantastic together as a partnership, I think Vidic and Ferdinand are a similar combination although (obviously) inferior in every respect ie Carra>Vidic, Agger>Ferdinand.

 

Toure really is excellent.
