Wilton utd's shane o'connor gets the chance to fulfil his soccer dream after he joined liverpool today. The 16 year old former rockmount and maymount celtic and wilton midfielder has signed a 2 year contract with the mersey giants. Shane from parklands was spotted be liverpool coach jim waldron at the clubs academy soccer camp in cork last summer

he`ll only be the new roy keane if his old man goes into his local, pulls out his flute and says "thats worth 6 million BOY"

on another note, whats the song about roy Keane and how when he left Saipan, he didnt fancy that? funny as f***, heard some irish reds singing on the plane to dublin froma match last year, hilarious stuff

Roy Keane is a traitor,

He wears a traitors hat,

And when he went to Saipan,

He didn't fancy that,

He could have played for Ireland,

In Korea and Japan,

f*** the Judas b*****d,

He's not an Irishman.

As sung (and created by) Shamrock Rovers fans last season.

kinell wayne do you have to take everything so literally... the new keane tag was in jest as he's a midfielder from cork....like the boy roy. He's a baby - as nobody on here as eva seen him kick a ball - and can say wot position he plays for sure - the comparison is one of mockery. Christ it must be the heat has melted some people's humour.

true about the accent tho. My other half is from that neck of the woods lol

Sure I told yis about this six months ago ;) We've also signed another young Irish lad, a forward from Dublin called Michael Collins.

Explosive runner?

whats wrong with the accent ye shower of langers, always noticed dublin reds having this anti-cork thing over his royness, the proportion of pool man yoo fans is the same in cork as it is dublin.

It's actually not the same player....

The Shane O'Connor that Liverpool alledgedly signed in february played for St. Joseph Boys, this one played for Wilton. They are both U16 internationals for Ireland.
