  1. well same again today, yes pre-season but for me johnson seems better as a left back....for me, with who we have...id start kelly right back, johnson left.
  2. cant we just delete this thread...hes completely pointless and i hate seeing his name everytime i come to the forum! Awful player
  3. Theres no doubt we can into this season with lots of optimism. With a number of quality signings since january its pretty likely we are gonna see some entertaining football. With players such as Gerrard, downing, carroll, suarez, henderson, adam - all matchwinners who all weigh in with a number of goals..im not worried about that part. I am worried about our defence, regardless of the opposition our pre-season has been littered with a ton of goals conceded mostly due to our errors. At this stage i couldnt for the life of me tell you what our first 4 in defence will be and that is a huge worry..the options dont really give me confidence. Carra - 99% hes gonna be first defender on the team sheet, but should this be the case? Agger - cannot be relied on due to his horrible track record with injuries Skrtel - to his credit he had a decent last 6 months...but isnt the level we need the greek - not good enough wilson - hasnt shown anything in the brief times we`ve seen him..needs another 12 months Kelly - hasnt really had a chance as a center back Full backs and kelly - should be first choice for me as a right back johnson - still questions marks regarding his defending, though like skrtel had a decent last 6 months...he also showed himself to be decent as a left bacl flanno - excelled when in the side...though is he ready for consistent first team action? Robinson - like flanno he did a great job, but isnt ready yet aurellio - permanently injured insua - not good enough Tons of options and good potential for the future but now? so for me, we go into the season without a clue who our back 4 will be...not good With Agger and Aurellio fit it becomes easy...but this aint gonna happen With what we have now, id go with --kelly-----carra--skrtel----johnson we played that a few times last season and it worked out well.....IF we dont bring anyone else in, it really is our best option Basically right now i can see excting games with us......but for us to challenge for the title, we have to bring in a couple of defenders before the end of the window.
  4. EVEN without lucas and suzarez -----------------reina---------------- johnson-agger-carra---------?? henderson-gerr-adam--downing ------------kuyt-----carroll------------ is potentially a bloody good side and more than enough to beat sunderland....would rather give lucas and luis a bit of a rest then risk injury... Regarding Doni, well again if Reina is not 100% then Doni should play....end of story, no point risking a long term injury
  5. we all know kenny likes to change the formation depending on who we are playing.. im seeing 2 different teams right now a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 -------------------------reina----------------------- johnson--------carra-----agger------------?? kuyt/hend----gerrard---lucas----downing -----------------suzarez-carroll------------------ or -------------------------reina----------------------- johnson--------carra-----agger------------?? -----------------------lucas------------------------ -----------gerrard-----------adam-------------- -------kuyt---------carroll----suarez-----------

  8. Suarez having a good game...scored a nice goal, some quality little runs and a great through ball to sally gunnel who blazed over!!!
  9. horrid!!!!!!!!!
  10. But that is the priority? no? Its a liverpool football academy, so its to produce top players for our first team and save us from spending top money. That is the only priority.
  11. its really quite simple and obvious the academy is there to produce top 1st team players for liverpool IF the academy doesnt produce top 1st team players for liverpool...then it is a failure. The only possible success has been Warnock, and i wouldnt even say he was a top first team player for liverpool.. So............blatent failure, and yes i would go as far as to say a complete disaster. How anyone can argue this is beyond me.

  15. actually looks like a really good film
  16. i think this is fantastic news... "Matchday tickets for Category A games have increased by £1 for the Kop and £2 for other stands. Tickets for Category B games have increased by £2, while for Category C matches Kop prices have risen by £1 and all other stands by £2. The most expensive ticket at Anfield will now be £48 for a Category A game (for example: a Centenary Stand seat v Manchester United) whilst the cheapest adult ticket will be £39 for a Category C ticket in the Kop (for example: a Kop seat v West Bromwich Albion). Following feedback from supporters, the Club has reduced all children's ticket prices by up to £8, with every junior Barclays Premier League ticket now priced at just £15, regardless of the match category. This is in line with us wanting to encourage the next generation of supporters." also regarding the adult prices, 48quid...is a bargain in comparism to other clubs in the premiership.
  17. thats what i want to see.....formation time! -------------------------reina------------------------ johnson------carra-----sktrel-----------flanno -----------------------lucas------------------------- ------------gerrard---------mireles-------------- ----kuyt--------------------------------suarez----- ----------------------carroll------------------------- Based on who we have currently.....allows flexability, great movement...means lotf of pressure on the full backs to get down the line, but based on who we have now...thats what will potentially work best with Carroll in the side.
  18. based on the money paid and witrh expectations kinda high....definetly phil babb, horrendous defender
  19. Big mistake that from kenny...IF we were serious about wanting to get in the europe league. Really we should have played Shelvey in the mireles position and kept the same formation that has been so successful these past few weeks. Playing an unfit Carroll and changing the formation really hurt us...we struggled from the begining.
  20. Well he showed inexperience with the pen ,was adecent maybe slightly clumsy challenge to be making in the box..... The yellow...well tf was friggin Howard Webb. Had a solid game other than that...his performances have been such that the desperate need for a full back really isn't that desperate...yes we prolly need more experience there but I certainly wouldn't blow a ton of cash on someone or pay massive wages
  21. well worth keeping, maybe not a first choice come next season....but definetly a solid squad player, also seems to have great rapport with suarez.
  22. seems like a readymade replacement for Gerrard.....Stevie can be a great mentor for him over the next few years. He has that same style and confidence our captain had when he first burst on the scene...
  23. Suarez Maxi lucas
  24. amazing really...the player of 2 seasons ago...unbelievable. This season and parts of last...astonishgly bad, its painful to watch. could be our greatest piece of transfer business ever....id honestly just like to know the facts about what is going on with him, cos something seriously isnt right
