carroll has to start, has been decent the last few games and the mancs obviously struggle in the air, and have a dodgy keeper.. Think we will keep it solid in midfield with Suarez on the bench.

well im pretty sure kennys critisisim was leveled at.. Johnson, Adam, Carroll, enrique.. all those bottled out of challenges numerous times, and looked like they were making sure they were fit for the next 2 games. The rest bar bellamy didnt actually play well but at least the effort was there.

you know, if he looked like he gave a s*** and put in effort.. i reckon he would get support. Crouch took awhile to get going but at least when he wasnt scoring you could the desire was there. Carroll just looks lazy, uninterested and has dropped below the level of say..Erik Meijer, at least with Meijer there was comedic value.

Adam at 6million is a good signing...but is he good enough for a team wanting champs League footy? Nah he's a squad player...but should never be first choice. Downing has been as bad as Carroll in my opinion..he's started nearly every game And been fking awful

He was by all reports a success while on loan at blackpool and scored a few goals. He comes back and puts in a good performance against villa...and apart from another good showing against oldham..we have hardly seen him. Surely he represents a good option and to me seems more attacking/exciting/dynamic than Henderson... I'd love to see jonjo given some more chances as I reckon he's a real talent.

Bit of an overreaction here..he was s**** today,but so were the rest of the defence .but Glen has been excellent all season. We have been solid all season with only 2 awful defensive displays..today and at spurs

People might disagree but i see Suarez as someone that ideally should start on the left hand side...ie like villa at barca. For this to work of course... a top quality striker is needed through the middle..the most obvious would have been the Torres from a couple of seasons back. On the right you would have someone with similar qualities though is also stronger and can quite easily drop off... sooooooooo where im heading with this is.. -----------------reina----------------- johnson-sktrel-agger---enrique----- ----------adam/hendo--lucas---------- -gerrard------????----------suarez ------------------????------------------ Gerrard inside right, suarez inside left...a playmaker in the middle..of which i think shelvey could develop into.... and a top striker. so, if i were kenny...those question marks are what we need to look at.

Watchd the Newcastle game against us from last season..the one where Carroll slammed home that goal fro 20-25 yards..dunno why it's still on my dvr! But anyway..... Carroll was a complete monster that day ,superb performance that now he doesn't bear any comparsim ....you could also say the change in Torres is similarly mysterious Bloody strange what happened to these 2 players.

Disagree with folks saying our problems are far worse than missing a striker...to me it's Blatantly obvious that's our main failing,defense has been fantastic,midfield has been good...and it's not like we haven't been creating chances,we just have been awful with our finishing..just off the top of my head...kuyts header today,Carroll in the week against man city ...a quality striker would have taken both those chances.....I cannot believe for one second that Kenny doesn't see this..I would be shocked if we don't bring a striker in. Even Suarez for all his qualitys isn't exactly a clinical striker.

Looks like he will become a good player but that's not good enough right now...fairly solid performances but again not good enough. I still think shelvey would add more and looks like a more dynamic player...surprised we haven't seen more of jonjo since the villa game where he had a good game.
