It seems like we`v ehad problems there forever... the amount of s**** full backs we`ve had at the club is shocking.. josemi krompkamp johnson (for the money paid, yes hes s****) insua vignal traore riise ziege konchesky aurellio our best of the past 10 years... finnan and babbel and maybe at a push..riise did an ok job for a couple of seasons... wings and....... nunez kewell smicer gonzales leto jovonovic (yes jury is out but it doesnt seem to promising!) babel Reira Best from the past 10 years and errrmmmm Its pretty shocking the amount of dire we have seen at the club with maybe some deserviing of the chance, see....kewell,smicer,babel,johnson but honestly not really being up to it.. And im sure ive missed a few! The point of the thread really is Houllier tried, then Rafa and now Roy...but all cant seem to find the right players for full backs and the wings (we shall give hodge a chance....although juding by konchesky... he will follow the same patten as before) why is this such a problem for us? It never seemed to be this hard....even mark walters seems like a world beater compared to some of the s**** we have seen!

He started well, coincidently as did the rest of our players.... then....he got booked , he lost all confidence after that...was holding of with challenges and his passing went astray.....coincidently like the rest of our players.

congrats leo.. Now regarding Alonso - i feel his "legend" will continue to rise in the coming years, but for me...he really only had 2 good seasons, exceptional performances, but still i remember plenty of times on here, the press and at anfield where he was getting slatted for some pretty poor performances.....was great on his day though dont feel we saw that "day" enough... Think its the same with Molby and im at that age where i remember him, very similar to alonso...fantastic range of passing, really brought another dimension to our side, yet he didnt do it enough.....he also got some serious stick at times for his inconsistency.. Now how does this compare to lucas, well its hard to compare...2 vastly different players, lucas is still young and crazy that hes only 23 as it seems like hes been around forever...I believe IF lucas can add some goal threat to his play, he could become a real top player......which i guess is where you could compare him to alonso as both struggle on the getting goals front.

hope he sticks with Kelly..put in a good performance against chelsea, far better than anything we`ve seen from johnson this season.

what lemming effect?!!?!? anyone with a sane mind would have seen that lucas was outstanding today.....and to say he was nowhere near Torres is wide of the mark.. Torres was outstanding in his position as a striker Lucas was outstanding in his position as a central midfielder

Hes been attacked from all corners, and yes hes probably deserved it with myself being one that..lets just say, have yet to warm to him.... Now i still dont think i will ever warm to Hodgson nor think he is the right man, YET we have to give him some credit.....4 wins on the bounce, 2 goals conceded and 8 goals scored. Good job Roy....lets see if you can prove many of us wrong and maybe.....get a chant from the Kop

His energy levels are fantastic, while otheres were tiring...he was the one continuing to get stuck in, and at the times was carrying the ball into the chelsea half being the last man forward.....also, hes learned the "hamman slump"

dare i say it, his best performance in a red shirt.. Was tremenous today, all the way through to the final whistle.....hes been showing signs of the quality rafa must`ve seen in him this season ......surrounded by some average performances Lucas hss been quietly effective.. I gotta say i didnt really rate him and wanted rid like many liverpool fans, today i feel we have all been proved wrong.. Well done lucas levia...outstanding

Has anyone watched spanish footy the past 2 seasons??? cassillas has been really poor, saved on numerous occassions by the madrid defence, he also wasnt that great in the world cup.....ohhh and messed up against milan 2 nights ago too..

Sounds to me like Roy cant be trusted.....which well i agree with, i dont want him to spend any more money on the likes of friggin poulsen,konchesky and the rumoured targets like carlton cole.

suprised by the reaction to konchesky on here! thought he had a fine first half (apart from the moment him and skrtel went for the same ball in the box)...hes defended well enough and got forward well, plus in some decent crosses.

Thought he was one of our better players today.....would like to see him alongside gerrard with Cole pushed up alongside Torres

Hodgson of course doesn't look like he has a clue......if the manager looks like a nervous wreck how must the players feel

why? he has been completely abysmal...his performance against blackpool was shocking, id much rather Carra play right back....Johnson doesnt have the guts for the derby.
