*errr what happend with the title!! it should of course read " thought he had a good debut!!" Honestly though he had a decent game, 1st half he looked a little nervous...2nd half and much better! made some decent challenges at the back..dont remember much getting past him, also nice turn and cross halfway through 2nd half.. Promising after all the abuse he has already taken on here! lets hope he can prove many wrong..............and hope the knock he got wasnt too serious.

If he stays.. 1. we have more options surrounding torres 2. the money we would get for him, likely....wouldnt be all used towards new players, so we would get an average to good striker as a replacement 3. he is f`king awesome for all we know, the conference will be about thursdays game and to introduce the new signings....cannot for the life of me believe we would hold a press conference to announce he is off?!?!!?!!?!? that sounds completely insane

well i see it as something like this -------------------------reina----------------------- johnson------carra--------agger----------??? ------------------------------------------------------- kuyt/rod----gerrard----aqua/lucas-------jovo/cole ---------------------cole/gerr/aqua-------------- ---------------------torres/jov/?---------------------- gives us alot of options in the final 3rd.. cole can play left side, right side or behind the striker.. Aqua can play central or up behind torres jovonovic can play left,right or up front kuyt - right side or up front gerrard - c mid, right side or up behind torres.. i like these options!! Now if masch does leave, do we really need a defensive mid....or will gerrard/lucas be able to handle the job? I think more will depend on aggers fitness, if he can stay fit..then the defence as a whole can move up 10 yards...without him at the back, then we have issues as carra isnt exactly the quickest or is skrtel,or the mad greek.. Johnson is great going forward, pretty poor at the back...which is why i would definetly start with kuyt right mid in games away from home, maybe at home we can go for it a bit and stick maybe rodriguez or even jovonovich there..\

kuyt has had a fantastic world cup..... Yes he had a bad season for us...but so did Gerrard,masch ,etc..etc.. Hes a player we definetly need to keep...
