I can't see what the point would be of sacking one of the best managers around. It's the cr@p off the field that's holding the club back at the moment, and the Mancs must be pissing themselves at how we've ended up in the mess we're in. We should be going all out to protect our record, but we won't be challenging for anything any time soon while Hicks lingers around. Incompetence off the field for the last 18 years, culminating in our current crisis is to blame, not Rafa. Changing the manager won't make a jot of difference while that's going on, and while we limit our managers to buying Pennants instead of Alves, Tevez type players.

Yes definitely - But he needs dosh to buy Benzemas instead of Voronins. However I think this is a big summer for him signings-wise so I hope he doesn't fritter cash away replacing dross with dross - as come next season people will use that against him. Downing etc won't get us any nearer the title than we are now. I'd rather he made one quality signing at a time than spent the same amount of money on a few squad players.

I think I've just fallen out of love with Rafa Benitez. I've always defended him staunchly until now, but taking Torres off was just being clever for clever's sake. My shoulders dropped more when I heard Torres had come off than they did when Lampard scored the penalty, so God knows what positive effect it had on the Chelsea players. We were still right in it needing just one goal with a good 20 minutes to go, and I would have fancied Torres to get us that goal. The only way Torres should have come off in that game was on a stretcher. Clever for clever's sake, and I think that move cost us the game.

Babel has skill and could develop into a really good player but needs coached well. It kinda f***s me off though that in Nani the Mancs have a winger that would have been great for us, and their bench looks stronger than our first choice attack. Plus they're more than likely going to add Benzema to their squad eventually.

This thread is bad for your health. I did hope until today that Gillett had a bit of a moral conscience about him and was ashamed of what Hicks had done to our club since they too over, but no it looks like he's a money-grabbing c*** too. We need this cancer out of our club by any means necessary.

Unfortunately that's my opinion too, so maybe we do need to stop the ground being built.
