That year or ever? That's an amazing stat if it's the latter.
  4. That looks crap - it's not the same if it's fake. Even the carlsberg sign, bags and bottles (with shadow) are superimposed on. Plus where's Steve Ogrizivic?
  5. Thing is if they'd been good owners we'd have been loyal to them too if they hit hard times, but these two are just lying, greedy scumbags. Keep turning the screw.
  6. 1. Mascherano 2. Riera 3. Carragher
  7. Degen would definitely have been my choice - he's seems injury prone, is fairly inexperienced, Arebeloa can play at right-back, Carragher too and Derby if we have a problem. Plus in an emergency more players could put in a decent performance at right-back than in the centre of defence. Think Hyypia deserved better and could still have played an important role for us.
  8. That's another half-million in expenses then...
  9. Well if Keane wasn't motivated enough to make an impression on Saturday then he must be now...
  10. Hamann by a distance for me - top class player. I think the praise lavished on Mascherano is over the top at times.
  11. Just wanted to say I think the open letter to the RBS is great. Well done to those involved and keep leading the fight against Hicks and Gillett on behalf of all like-minded Liverpool supporters. Ultimately it's up to us to force them out, so keep turning the screw...
  12. Still think this is a mistake personally. Just takes an injury and a suspension and we'll be looking vulnerable at centre half, instead of plugging the gap with the ever reliable Sami Hyypia. He showed last season how valuable he is in the Champions league with his aerial presence, cool head and experience. Often comes up with a vital goal too - as he did against Arsenal last year. Hmmm...
  13. That just exemplifies my point perfectly. Season ticket prices, booking priorities and Thomas Cook packages are a side issue as far as I'm concerned. Your one and only aim for now should be getting rid of the Americans, other problems can wait. You might not care what I say but look at the poll, about 75% have reservations about what SoS are now about - ignore that at your cost. To me that suggests you need to refocus on your original aim, and get back to being the focal point for all of us who want Hicks and Gillett out before they do irreparable damage to our club.
  14. To me the Sons of Shankly was formed to get rid of our current disasterous ownership and play a part in ensuring that the people who took over would be capable and responsible owners. To me that should be their one and only aim. When I've clicked on their statements recently it's been more about committee issues and less important Liverpool related problems, and as such they just seem like any other fans group to me, and I find it hard to distinguish between them and RTK or someone like that. To me they need to get back to being the focus of our anger towards our American overlords, organising protests and any other means we can use to force them out if they won't take the hint. That to me is their one and only aim, and if that's what they return to then they have my 100% support. My main worry just at the minute is that if we don't stand up now, we are going to have a groundshare for the next 80 years because we had a couple of d****eads - sorry forgot Parry - three d****eads in charge of the club at a vital, vital time.
  15. Surprised more people haven't jumped on this. If the proposed stadium has been shelved, then unfortunately I think the probability isn't that Hicks and Gillett are going to sell up, but rather they are going to try and push through the groundshare and have probably been working towards this on the quiet. God I hate those two - they need ousted by us as soon as possible.
  16. 1. Reina 2. Skrtel 3. andbecauseeventhoughhewass****for117minuteshedidgetthegoal Kuyt
  17. Any lingering doubts I had about Reina have gone now. Superb performance over the two legs, and that first save tonight was phenomenal. Could be our keeper for the next 10 years.
  18. WhY iS KuYT nEvER SuBStiTuTed? It's driving me crazy!
  19. Looks like it's time for our CEO to put his finely tuned negotiating skills into action: Rick Parry: Hi we've decided we don't want Gareth Barry anymore and would like to purchase Stewart Downing instead if that's ok? Steve Gibson: Certainly Sir - that'll be £18 million pounds precisely please. Rick Parry: Errrrrrrmmm...... Steve Gibson: Click...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  20. I don't get why they're so desperate to call deflections an own goal. The defender's don't want an own goal awarded against them, and unless it's a back pass gone wrong or a header like Riise's last year then why not just award it to the attacking player?
  21. For all his faults and my fears that he is this season's Pennant style signing, I would be pleased that we'd signed someone who can at least take a decent corner or free-kick.

When does Mascherano get back - will he be ready for the Liege game?
  23. Winning ugly to me means keeping things tight, competing, grabbing a goal and then defending your lead - we've just been jammy so far.
  24. I've signed up too - and I've even given some of you a 10 point start!
