Didn't Spurs recently rip-off Crystal Palace, nicking one of their top youngsters for £750,000 when Palace wanted £5million? It's ok for them to do it then I assume.

Does Gerrard decide all our signings now then? What with Barry and now Keane too?

It does leave us a bit short in midfield for a while until they all return. I guess it gives Plessis a chance to impress - hope it isn't just a bit too soon for him though.

Leiva looks so much better and more comfortable going forward than he does defensively, I don't know why we don't just push him further forward and leave Mascherano/Plessis to do the defensive work.

Why do we always play Lazio in these pre-season friendlies? I can't remember any transfer happening between the two clubs in the past, and it isn't as if we have some historic link with them like we do with say FC Alaves or Borusia Munch... Borrusia Moenchan...Bruges etc.

That last goal is very reminiscent of some of the goals he scored for us last year. SiGn MoRe ClAsS 12 YeAR OlDs

Fergie loves to stick the knife in doesn't he? Rafa was the real genius in that partnership so I wouldn't be too upset to see Pako go there. Just disgusted!

I'd never heard of Luis Garcia when we signed him and wondered why we were buying a Barcelona reserve team player. Hope Degen ends up with a Champions league winners medal too.

Jonathan Pearce is even worse though - can't believe he's on the BBC.

I'd love us to sign Keane, as much as anything else his attitude would be perfect for our side. Does anyone know why he turned us down before in 2002? Did he just think he would get more games at Spurs? Seems strange for a player to turn down a move to the club he supports.

Do you think they're trying to prompt DIC into making an improved offer? as surely DIC would rather build they're own mega-stadium than inherit Hicks scaled down stadium (now made of paper and recycled cans). I just think we'll end up picking up a £60m bill for these couple of c**ts digging a whole in the ground.

Goodbye John and thanks for everything. You will forever be one of the 'Istanbul Immortals' and played a part in the greatest night of my life! YNWA

£17m for Gareth Barry or £17m for David Villa is a no-brainer Shirley?

But I'm worth it.

I had a nosey look at the Chelsea rumours page before and it was all £40m bid for Aguero, £60m bid for Messi, £30m bid for Ronaldinho, £20m bid for Ancelotti - it's not sport anymore, it's a horrible, greedy, obscene, sick sideshow that you don't want anything to do with. Thank God for Liverpool FC - the sooner we get rid of our American chumps and go back to doing things 'the Liverpool way' the better.

Can we not keep Torres but shoot Hicks anyway?

Well at least it's a straw we can clutch in these bleak times.
