    I think it was unlikely he'd come here once it didn't happen in the summer for a variety of reasons and the fact that we've been so awful this year will only have turned him off us further

    Yep, time left on his contract isn't the only thing that determines his price Palace will also he considering how desperately we need him and also that there is now every chance that either (a) City will stump up the cash now or (b) even if we were still his current favoured option right now there is no guarantee that will be the case in the summer

    They don't really want us, haven't done for ages if ever. They get an average of about £45 per game from me and almost 10% of that is a friggin' Star Bar for halftime. Once I start remembering to take my own they'll get even less.

    The BBC article about Arbeloa says all the chat in Germany is Real will be after Klopp in the summer and that he's keen. Grim if so.

    Ha ha, I was on Radio 5 on the way home after that match giving out to Lawrenson and Mark Bright for respectively saying that we were right to sack Rafa for Hodgson and that Liverpool were no longer a big club. I've still got the audio somewhere. Here it is! It's even better than I remember!

    It was quite stark. But its the kind of thing that comes with a bit more strength as well - just being able to muscle your way past someone once youve done the intial feint to unbalance them a bit. Mane was brilliant at it.
