I got a text from a Spurs fan saying 'great game but call me old school, I'm not a fan of the friendliness afterwards'. FFS most of them are teammates in their national teams and they live next door to each other. Did players just continue to hate on each other after the whistle went in the good ol' days?

I am a wee bit excited by this.

Quite astonishing the stupidity of those comments. Loving it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/footballhighlights/ There's usually a bunch pretty soon after the game on here.

Nah I look far worse

Thought Fab was boss last night. The ref was a good un too. Thought it was a def yellow card on that sliding challenge he did. Not even a foul. Lovely stuff.

I like how he appeals for everything. When Bobby’s shot was deflected wide he immediately screamed at the ref gesticulating that you could hear how it hit their player. He’s sumptuous and makes football look like an art form.

Be nice if chelsea lose and both us and LC win. Great performance today. Thiago is looking all kinds of sexy.

Not one for ever enjoying what those t***s come out with but Keys and Gray (I put up with those two because the commentary on Sky Sports ruins the games for me) really have it in for Fernandes, and were mocking him at half time for trying to win a penalty. I reckon next season he's going to find it hard to win over the refs. My god I hate his face.

It seems to me he is being a bit more adventurous and brave with his passing lately. Some nice punchy passes where before he would take the more conservative approach. Thought he was terrific yesterday, cant help but love the guy.

Let's get Sterling back too and have another go.

I reckon things will start to look better when Thiago can play 90mins. We've been sorely lacking creativity from our midfield three, and he just looks utterly immense. He knows he's the best thing since sliced bread and probably isnt at all concerned by the s***e in second place.

Commentator mentioned that even Jurgen has been surprised by how much better he is than previous thought. He's great fun to watch.

I like how he’s stolen Origi’s goal celebration.

I know having that type of confidence is usually helpful for top sportsmen but with Adrian is irritates the hell out of me. He balls up and is immediately over it, and starts to do his rallying the troops thing. Reckon he would be a right pain to live with.

In regards to when the ball leaves the players foot, maybe a better idea is to freeze the frame when the sound of the ball being hit is heard. Or develop an AI that actually can determine decisions in the blink of an eye. Who cares if it goes all HAL on us, at least we can celebrate goals again.

Furious right now. Doesnt look like VVD is offside (the line they draw just doesnt make any sense) and Mane is clearly onside too. Spineless refereeing today. All this VAR stuff does is give the c**** who f*** up on a regular basis more opportunity to f*** up.

So we now have... The best GK in the world. The best defender in the world. The best midfielder in the world. The best front line in the world. and The best manager in the world. (well arguably, but it's a pretty strong argument.)

It's still only slowly seeping in all this. What a journey we've been on. What a special club.
