As promising as de Ligt is, my worry is what this does to Joe's development. He looked absolutely incredible before his injury and looked to be becoming one of the best CBs around. Really dont like seeing him at RB - just not his position, so hopefully that's not the thinking here - add another CB and have Joe covering CB/RB. We already have the best defense in the world (feels nice saying that!), but we do need cover for Trent and Andy. A pacy reliable wing back, a Fekir type, and a young striker who is boss off the bench and we are set for years. Quite fun being brilliant again.

Always seemed like a top lad. What a talent. Hope he has a few more career highlights (far away from the Premier League) before hanging the boots up.

In the space of literally one hour yesterday, I got laid off from a job that I was enjoying and was slowly getting me out of debt, I inexplicably lost the only copy of the screenplay I had been writing (which was probably s***, but at least made me feel creative), that even a recovery program couldnt get back, and f***ing Kompany hit a once in a career strike to basically end our hopes of winning the league. I keep thinking that someone up there is really having a laugh. I just gotta hope they start feeling guilty and lay off the s***ness for a bit.
