  1. Virgil has once again been absolutely immense. some extraordinary decisions from the refs once again. Stopping the game there because he pulled his hamstring?! I also want to see the Jota foul which looked on the line.
  2. The Beasts - a really unsettling, well told story. Thought it was fantastic. Ferrari - Good in places but found some of the accents a little distracting. A solid 6/10.
  3. Think it's about time we start trying to learn from out defeats and not persevering with what's worked in the past.
  4. That little bit of chasing down he did on Ederson and then turning around to berate others for not doing the same was comical. Put that shift in every time someone near you has the ball and we might not look so s*** at the back.
  5. This tactic of lets make 5 players stand and watch them pass it around their box so they can bypass our whole team with one pass is maddening. Is that our solution to a lack of press - shove them higher up the pitch and hope they get lucky with an opposition s*** pass? Was really hoping Gapko was a bit quicker. He will score goals though. Salah is completely isolated and then we he gets the ball he has 5 players on him at once. They don't need to mark our non existent midfield so can load up on him. Ox......
  6. I didn’t realise we were playing yesterday. Popped on here and saw the match thread was a long one. Thought we must have lost or drawn so spent the whole match worrying about a last min equaliser. Be curious to know the average length of a match day thread to when we lose vs win. Nunez seems to be a half second off each time he shoots. When he calms down and trusts himself more, he’s going to be immense. We def need Fab back. Quite something we’re relying on Ox, I almost feel sorry for him when I watch him play. He clearly doesn’t have much confidence in himself anymore.
  7. He’s going to score some audacious goals.
  8. That was fun. Really really needed that today. What a difference a bit of passion and drive makes. Bring on tottenham.
  9. Triangle of Sadness. Loved it. I recommend checking out his other films (The Square and Force Majeure) too.
  10. I looked at the bench and thought maybe Milner can make a difference. We have absolutely fallen off a cliff. We have a bunch of very average players, with a few world class ones who arent performing too well. I like the madness of Nunez but when he was given that chance by Mo, I wasn't expecting him to finish it.
  11. We have a few world class players who are concealing the bang average players in the squad. Attitude has been s***. The fact that we're upset that Milner is being taken off just goes to show how awful we have been. I adore Jurgen but his self belief that he can turn determined players into greatness is his achilles heel.
  12. Just down the street from Carraghers is Stout, which is also on John st, and I've watched a few games there (10am kick offs though - 7.30am is an v early start so might want to check if it's open). It doesnt get crazy busy so getting a seat isn't too hard if you get there just before kick off. Carragher's is always tough to get into but the atmosphere is great, so maybe worth trying there first. 11st bar is an amazing spot but you need to get there early.
  13. I saw it about 8 years ago and was blown away by it. Mark Rylance is probably my favourite actor these days. Would love to have seen it again but tickets were all sold out when I looked.
  14. I'm back in love with football. Really enjoyed that game. We bossed them for a large part of it, and was an Allison appearance away from it being a very comfortable scoreline. Liking these new lads we have brought in too.
  15. That’s my thinking too. I want us to give them a proper hiding.
  16. Reckon Trent is going to get a few more assists next season. Been frustrating seeing us cross into the box without a proper target man. I'm liking the look of Nunez...seems like a mix of Torres and Suarez. Which doesnt sound so bad.
  17. He was immense. What a signing. Bobby dazzled today too. Perfect timing for him to come into form.
  18. I haven't laughed that hard in a while whilst watching footy.
  19. That was all so enjoyable. Crazy what humans can do with a round ball. What a joy we are to watch. Scholes: “Liverpool have real men in their team”
  20. That first 45 by Thiago was sensational. Hard to think of a midfield performance lately that can top that.
  21. I got a text from a Spurs fan saying 'great game but call me old school, I'm not a fan of the friendliness afterwards'. FFS most of them are teammates in their national teams and they live next door to each other. Did players just continue to hate on each other after the whistle went in the good ol' days?
  22. Dopesick. A tough watch at times but incredibly engrossing. The performances are brilliant.
