I wouldn't mind two cheeky bids: one for Aaron Lennon for the right and another for Gael Clichy for the left back spot (I know if Arsenal lose Cole to Chelsea that will never happen). The striker who has most impressed me is Kuyt. I can only judge from seeing him often on Channel5, but he seems tailor made for the Premiership as he's not frightened of anything, gives 100% and never stops harrying defenders. He really does remind me of Shearer in his physical approach to the game and he also scores regularly. We could well live to regret it if he goes to any other Premiership team.

His talents are very uneven. His pace is phenomenal, but his brain doesn't work as fast as his legs sadly. Does anyone get excited when they see him brought on as a sub, thinking he can change the game? If the answer is no, as it is in my case, then gut reaction says more than any well argued case for him. My only worry would be if Wenger ever got hold of him. Then we could live to regret it.

I did wonder why you stopped posting there. I used to enjoy seeing you take them on single-handed and the way they looked to each other for encouragement like a group of meerkats when answering your posts. The only two things that stopped me registering and joining in the debate was the overly heavy mods and the fact that I would have been banned immediately for replying to some of their nastier threads concerning Hillsborough and the people of Liverpool (even though I am an OOT!). Kristina was and is the outstanding poster there and if she would only overcome her aversion to the colour red it would be the posting equivalent of nabbing John Terry
