    Fabio Aurelio?

Chelsea are weak in the left back position as Del Horno is not exactly a success and they let Bridge go out on loan and Arsenal may lose Cole so I wouldn't be surprised to see either of those teams yet make a move for Aurelio.
  8. They would nominate Hamann and Ben-Haim.
  9. He's also one pf the best penalty savers around which might yet prove crucial in this season's F.A. cup.

  12. Rafa hadn't beaten Man Utd in four league attempts, but knocked them out of the cup. Hadn't beaten Birmingham in four league attempts, but knocked them out of the cup. Hasn't beaten Chelsea in four league attempts, but......
  13. Spike, just make sure you are ready for our match against Everton on ermmmm, Monday.

  15. Posted on a Newcastle website: Michael CAN walk out on Newcastle in the summer if: 1) Newcastle fail to qualify for Europe. There is a £12million release clause. 2) If a club bids £12million or more in cash, not staggered payments, Owen is allowed to talk to them. 3) If Liverpool make any offer, Owen has be informed regardless of what fee they offer i.e. Newcastle cannot hide any bids that don't meet the release clause 4) He can walk if Newcastle are relegated 5) He has an option to walk if the manager (then Souness) is replaced. He can only do this when a new manager is confirmed and in position. 6) Outside the clauses/trigger fee, if anyone bids £15m+ (doesn't have to be cash upfront) he can speak to them. It's supposed to come from Richie Patridge who is engaged to Owen's sister.
  16. A few other web sites are running this table. The premise being that you take last year's league table, and compare results against teams from this season against last season's, adjusting the table accordingly. Matches yet to be played are counted as repeating last season's result hence the final points total. For example, last season Fulham 1-4 Chelsea Chelsea 3-1 Fulham This season Fulham 1-0 Chelsea Chelsea 3-2 Fulham Chelsea therefore losing three points and are down 6 goals on goal difference. The table as it currently looks. N.B. the three promoted sides obviously take the place of the three relegated teams. Pt Pt+- GD GD+- Pos+- 1 Chelsea 95 +46 (-11) -------------------------------------------- 2 Man Utd 83 (+ 6) +41 (+ 9) (+ 1) 3 Liverpool 77 (+19) +28 (+17) (+ 2) 4 Arsenal 67 (-16) +31 (-20) (- 2) -------------------------------------------- 5 Tottenham 62 (+10) +14 (+ 8) (+ 4) 6 Bolton 61 (+ 3) +12 (+ 7) -------------------------------------------- 7 Blackburn 58 (+16) + 6 (+17) (+ 8) 8 Wigan Athletic 55 (+22) -11 (+24) (+11) 9 West Ham 54 (+22) 0 (+21) (+11) 10 Charlton 51 (+ 5) - 8 (+ 8) (+ 1) 11 Everton 51 (-10) -10 (- 9) (- 7) 12 Newcastle 50 (+ 6) - 2 (+ 8) (+ 2) 13 Man City 48 (- 4) + 3 (- 5) (- 5) 14 Fulham 43 (- 1) - 9 (- 1) (- 1) 15 Middlesbrough 43 (-12) -11 (-18) (- 8) 16 Aston Villa 40 (- 7) -10 (- 3) (- 6) 17 West Brom 34 -25 -------------------------------------------- 18 Birmingham 33 (-12) -21 (-15) (- 6) 19 Portsmouth 31 (- 8) -30 (-14) (- 3) 20 Sunderland 16 (-17) -44 (-23) (- 2)
  17. I'd like to see Reina score and I have a feeling that tonight I may.
  18. My favourite too. I went to the game with a mate who supported ManUtd and he was sick, literally, on the Kop because of all the swaying and then sick with jealousy after our performance. Every single Liverpool player got a 10 in the Sunday Mirror or People (can't remember exactly which one) ratings the next day. The goal was the perfect end to a staggeringly good team performance. That goal really summed up Liverpool's philosophy of a complete team working together.
  19. If Garcia had done what Musampa did for West Ham's second goal, we would never have heard the last of that either.
  20. These Carnage T-shirts.....I know they refer to Cisse, but is it what his arrival did to our transfer budget?
  21. I can't help thinking that if another multi billionaire came into the game and started throwing money around the way Abramovich has, there would be far reaching ramifications for football as we know it. So far, Chelsea's money has only affected the outcome of English competitions. Were they to start dominating Europe and to be challenged only by another English team with similar investment, the major european clubs would force rule changes to protect themselves.
  22. I was worried before kick-off as I thought both Kromkamp and Warnock looked weak on paper.
  23. They will be so pissed off when he spends it all on Drogba and SWP!
