Rafa did play Paletta as right back during preseason so he may have temporary/permanent plans to use him there. I know he made some mistakes, but they will no doubt be ironed out on the training ground.

He gave the ball away too much. I know Garcia can be guilty of that too, but he does it when trying a defence splitting pass or a quick one-two which will often open up a clear chance on goal when it comes off and he will also often get it right the next time. Murphy just did it when he was trying a simple pass so the risk was not worth the outcome even should it be successful.

The F.A can act if the ref says he booked the player for an overly aggressive challenge, but didn't see the elbow.
