I wish Pennant would take corners instead of Gerrard. Gerrard running onto the ball from the edge of the box makes a lot more sense than Pennant hanging around on the far side waiting for an overhit ball.

I think Rafa is rotating in an attempt to find a first eleven that is in form, moving players in and out of the team or position to just find something that will click for the first six weeks or so. The worrying signs were there against Maccabi Haifa when we struggled to beat them. Our perfromance in the CL qualifier is always a sign to how we will start the season. Once again we are starting badly and giving ourselves a mountain to climb. The frustrating thing is that we will almost climb it later in the season, but it may just be too late again. These games also show the need for a natural predator who can grab a goal and get something out of a game when the team is still disjointed.

I would assume that Panorama's investigations concern transfers between English clubs as it would be harder to cover the foreign end of a transfer between countries. Could be completely wrong of course, but they could "get" two clubs with one transfer by confining it to England.

Barca have certainly outflanked Chelsea so maybe the chavs are going to be sponsored by Unicycle as all their other wheels have just fallen off.
