  1. There's been a lot of truly rubbish English keepers over the past 30 years. Just about every half-decent young 'un gets talked about as the second coming of Banks before they are revealed to be another version of Chris Turner.
  2. Nicked off that Twitter. Apologies to those who don't like this sort of thing ;-)
  3. Seriously? That is absurdly biased/inept.
  4. 100% this. He stays in that team, we win the title. But then if that happened, we don't get Jurgen, so y'know, swings & roundabouts.
  5. Think it's the first time in his career he's been able to build a team, his team, and not lose players regularly to a big dog. Hence we're seeing spectacular results.
  6. That's obscenely brilliant. Love a fantastic centre back pairing </leo-no.8>
  7. I'm nicking that. New sig sorted :-)
  8. The performance I thought of immediately, yeah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy-uQT3AqyI
  9. That really is a bit mad. Best keeper we'ved ever had I think, including Clem & Pepe. Doesn't mean he doesn't have ricks - but they're rare, and they effect him not one shiny sh*t the minute after they've happened. Mentality giant.
  10. As are we, and that's great too
  11. Yeah, by their reckoning we have the best defender and goalie in the world, and the best attacker whose name isn't Messi. Which is alright, like.
  12. Pop muzik! https://youtu.be/gPoiv0sZ4s4?t=77
  13. Seriously? He won the ball back 13 times? That's a huge number for a midfielder in one game. Be amazed if that's not a season high for one of our midfielders.
  14. THIS. All day long. What can the club do to make sure he stays for 20 years?
  15. Dan Burn has probably been Brighton's best player this season. Obviously huge, but quick & ridiculously nimble for his size, and not in a Crouchy-somehow-keeping-it-under-control way, but actually with proper, quick close control. A fair few times this season he's popped up on the left wing, beaten his defender with a bit of skill and whipped in great crosses. Think he's actually a big (haha) talent. Was bought as a CB.
  16. Oh no, at his peak he was one of the top 3 midfielders in the world - was monstrous. But I think Fab is getting there...definitely a better tackler, but that's about the only thing Viera wasn't 10/10 at.
  17. Throwing Marcelo into the mix too, as one of he most skillful attacking full backs ever. Top-line career stats (WhoScored.com) are interesting though - Trent likely to become the most creative full back in history (by a country mile) if he keeps going like this: Trent 94 games, 4 goals, 21 assists Marcelo 391 games, 30 goals and 74 assists. Lahm 324 games, 9 goals, 45 assists Alves 406 games, 25 goals, 97 assists.
  18. That's a cracking piece. And a well-made point about Klopp being a coaching genius, not just an uber-hugging cheerleader...
  19. I'd say he has a lot of Viera about him. But better defensively.
  20. Umm, Barca? But yeah, he was bloody brilliant today.
  21. Really would. Find it quite weird how technically good he is as a finisher, given how his career developed. Reminds me a bit of Batistuta, and I can't believe I've just said that. Plus he works like a dog - think Kloppo would love him. Also: he is indeed a massive d*ckhead.
