Yeah, there are certain things that keepers do or don't do and they are (mostly) fine with their choices/preferences but the point should be that your defence gets used to that and plays and organises accordingly. It was one of the reasons Mignolet was so terrible - he could never make his mind up one way or the other. Buying a keep who does the opposite of what Ali does is a ridiculous bit of recruitment - no matter how good or bad a keeper he is - because it means the defence can't play the way it is used to from one game to the next. It means immediate disruption and disorganisation. It's not a reflection on Mamardashvilli. You'd think/hope this was just basic stuff, but apparently not.

Yeah, the emerging narrative from the Wirtz transfer saga was the conversations between Slot & Flo where Flo was all in for Liverpool because of Slot's vision of how he wanted Flo to play and how he'd fit in the long-term plans. And that was what swung it. Slot was 100% onboard with, and integral to the process of, the signings

That's not evidence though, it's maybe a symptom, but it's not evidence.

Scoooopp!!!

If we pull one back here we’ll still lose 3-2.

From what I’ve seen they’ve slapped a bonkers price on him which probably puts off a lot of potential buyers.

Seems like he’s brought on all the right subs but at the wrong times, for the wrong players, for the wrong reasons and in the wrong positions.

Yup. It’s like they’ve gone out with a “don’t worry about trying to win any second balls, lads” ringing in their ears.

I can’t wait for Slot to be gone.

That was really smart from Dom then on Welbeck. Great stuff.

Yeah, I once cut through the end of my thumb and thumb nail with a pair of secateurs. Loads of blood but not a huge amount of pain (unless I'm really dead hard, which I know I'm actually not). Weird innit how different wounds have different effects.

I think he will be the league's player of the season 26/27.
