    Yeah, I’d’ve normally been a bit hacked off that my Jonesybox wasn’t working but it’s been more like a bonus recently. Just not been interested in watching this dross for months now.

    I just don’t think that’s true. He was poor for most of his first six months and has improved a bit recently. He’s never been great for us. I think I‘ve seen him have two properly decent games and that’s been it.

    Agreed. I think there was pretty much near unanimous approval of Slot's public pronouncements at the time, I don't see how his backroom conversations would have been any different.

    Well, yes and no. In an ideal word where we have ex-players who are outstanding candidates and the right attitude and capabilities, then, yeah, 100%. But if our ex-players are free-loading deadlegs who couldn't administrate their way out of a hospitality suite then, nah.

    Are you proposing that Trent somehow fills that leadership gap? After the s***housery we saw from him in parts of last season? And just imagine how much worse it'd be now he's a had a year of Madrid entitlement added to the mix...

    I think it is you unanimous. The only difference of opinion seems to be on whether we’re allowed to call him a f***ing c*** or if the name-calling should be at a lower level. Everybody, and I mean everybody, wants him gone.

    Yeah, I remember that. I think two things turned it for me… Demento winning everything with the Scum and Everton turning everything into a never ending well of bitterness. i remember being really pleased for the Ev when they won the Cup Winners Cup, I could never imagine feeling like that for them now…

    * under a new manager. I'm firmly of the opinion that under a new and sympathetic manager - and I've posted this on here before - I reckon Wirtz could be the player of the season. If Slot's still here, he'll just continue to look like an Aldi Smicer.
