Something that's been on my mind. Does anyone else think that Rafa might have told him that he's on his way out at the end of the season?

Considering that the rumours say money is tight, then it makes sense, to sell a player who isnt in the first 11 and hopefully recoup some money in order to buy a player who can go improve our team. Its just footballing economics.

It does seem to make a little bit of sense, but why would Rafa tell him he's leaving now? When has this happened before? Nunez, Baros?

 

His form has been poor the last half a dzen games, and hasn't been in the sort of form he was last season, but i wouldnt like to see him go. How much of this recent dip in form can be attributed to his knee injury?

Major reason for me is the fact that Gerrard has been played on the right hand side, which has relegated garcia to the bench, or of course the problem with his injury.

 

For all those that say we need a right sided player..including Rafa, Garcia was excellent for us on the right last season.

He looked very happy tonight, and celebrated every goal like a little kid. Think he even kissed Stevie when he was hanging on his back :D

He's done it before...

 

 

Dont ask me why and I have no sauces at all but I have a feeling something happened over Christmas and Garcia will indeed be on his bike come the summer. Purely speculation from me, but just a feeling. Love him to stay by the way.

Without knowing the 'ins and outs' Rafa would be mad to sell him. Granted he's had a dip in form, but has also suffered through injury this season. A player can't be blamed for that, and a bit of slack is merited I think.

 

As frustrating as he can be he adds an unpredictable element to the squad, something which a previous manager got villified for not "encouraging".

 

He also seems to have a canny knack of popping up with valuable goals - a priceless asset.....

Smicer knew he was off.

Yes, but so did we all - and Vlad knew this in himself and so asked for a meeting and asked the question directly, saying he needed to sort out his last few playing years if not. Benitez was then honest with him and Vlad thanked him for that. This is a very different scenario.

I don't know - but everytime he dtarted off I seemed to be saying it...

About 3 inches away from a goal of the season contender as well.

 

yes, totally admit that ... but he is a terrible football player.... very likable and as much as i want him to do well for the team he just doesnt cut it...

 

also for Cisse too , who tried really hard to make an impression and came close tonight...

 

effort does count though , so keep it up.
