floyd Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Give credit to Crespo. One of the best finishers in the world.
yellow jumper Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 half-chance. he probably came across a bit too close to his near post. but the opportunity came so quickly it's hard to blame him for not getting in perfect position. it was a clinical finish by crespo too. giving the ball away sloppily in our own half. and left back not getting out quickly enough for offside trap. the two main errors on that goal.
Guest dannylad Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) Reina was beaten by that shot and didn't even get a hand to it If we had him playing Edited February 8, 2006 by dannylad
Stevie H Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 'kin hell. there's not a 'keeper on the planet would've stopped that.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Crespo's EXACTLY what we need in our team. I don't fault Reina at all for it.
Romario Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I assume this is a joke.I thought he'd at least get a hand to it considering the angle. Seemed to close to his post that's all. No hidden agendas at all. Just wondering if everyone else thought it was a unstoppable shot or if thegoalie could have made it more difficult.
New York Red Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Crespo is a thoroughly unlikeable guy. But, you can't fault his finishing. There are few, if any, more deadly than him in the box. We could really use someone like him to be honest.
Leo No.8 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Just a magnificent finish. It was past him almost before he could move, and right in the corner. What more could you want?

Leo No.8 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 A miss? That would have of course been far more agreeable...
stressederic Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 It was a stunning finish. Absolutely no backlift on it at all, and it flew past Reina. And I agree, the lob over Reina that was disallowed was an even better goal.
Andyjandy Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Imagine dudek running out and doing a flying tackle from behind at the corner flag. You would butcher him.
Logic Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Crespo is one of the best in the business today. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so good at beating the offside trap and his finishing is top class. I just hope he goes to a truly great team instead of staying where he's at right now.
