I'm undecided whether to go or not. I'd love to be there but as it's a bank holiday the public transport will be massively inadequate and there's no way I'm driving in.

Well for a change you’ve got a month to work it out.  Don’t normally know there is one til the day before.  Even The Strand isn’t going to be big enough.  But who cares.

All I know is it will run very very late and you’ll be standing around for hours doing nothing but when it comes you just wont care.

Got a pristine full size ship’s that we bought in the port the day before the game that’s coming out of its box for the occasion.  As near as we can get to the Baltic Fleet n all.

Because the final game/parade is on a bank holiday weekend and prices (flights and accommodation) are mad, I flew to the city last weekend instead. Didn’t get to the game (but f*** me, I had the best time anyway), and I thought that was it for me.

But no, no!  I’m coming up for the parade too.

Me and my wife and the pooch usually get a ferry across from Jersey in June, rent a cottage somewhere in the countryside and chill for a week or two.

This year, she suggested (yep, my wife’s idea, god bless her) we come a bit earlier and find somewhere convenient to travel up to Lime Street.

So, we’ll be in Shropshire for a week from the 24th May, and I’m getting a train to Liverpool up on the Monday morning. I plan to head down to the Strand as soon as I can get there, though I guess it could be a long wait down there.

Booked an open return but the plan is to get back to Ludlow around 10:30 pm.

Is seeing the start then legging it back into town feasible or will the strand be mobbed by the time you get back in.

I've made peace with the fact that I may not make the train back no matter what time I queue up, have an open ticket, but looking forward to no sleep for a few days

Sure some do it but I wouldn’t want the agg, I’d plan on walking to town though if so rather than take a chance on waiting for an 86 that’s letting anyone on.  Be already chocker with Garstonheads.  

I wouldnt be surprised if Parly comes more into play than planned on the day to fan things out a bit at the south end, as that’s where it shoots off to at the end.

I plan on parking myself to the cement all day in that exact spot. Hopefully the weather is nice enough

I remember the last train back to Warrington after the Istanbul parade, the train was so rammed that people were literally sticking their kids in the overhead luggage racks.

Plan is to get over from Birkenhead and I reckon the ferry could be a decent option. Got to get back over the water and drive back home on the night though so will be a sober day.

Booked a hotel in Warrington of all places for this. Hotels anywhere closer in Liverpool were mad prices

I'm not going. I land on the Saturday morning from Florida, drive up to the match the next day, jetlagged to f*ck and go home after. Hotels are off the scale, hundreds and hundreds of pounds, I won't sleep either, I surrender, too much at my age.

 

Last Sunday will last me forever, the trophy lift caps it off, I hope youse all get there and have a ball lads, f*cking hell we don't half know how to celebrate!!
