Henderson !! He touched the ball 3 times in the whole game. He was dreadful.

Proved yet again he is not a centre-mid. He is at his best when he is playing wide of or ahead of centre-mid, preferably with lots of space to run into.

he passed the ball more than anyone bar gerrard in reality. don't think that midfield works particularly though, and not just because of henderson. both improved second half having said that.

Proved yet again he is not a centre-mid. He is at his best when he is playing wide of or ahead of centre-mid, preferably with lots of space to run into.

 

I think he proved yet again that he has a long way to go. He puts this performance in, at least one in every 4 games. I've seen him play many times at centre mid for the England U21s and he looks the part. It's not his positional play for me, with him, its about confidence to get on the ball.
