Rodgers has been in the dugout for only 3 1/2 months. During this time he's made alterations to the team and system. Now for the elephant in the room

Personally i'd have Gerrard in attack behind Suarez and Sterling ( although i'd like to give the latter a rest over Christmas ). From here he can play through balls, switch to either wing, make runs into the area from deep as the two tricky forwards pull defenders wide, drop a little deeper if need be but not back to our defensive third. Suarez and Sterling can both play through the middle and wide. It would be the most fluid, creative and potent attack we have

And yet it hasn't happened.

Go back to two proper fullbacks, play a solid midfield - facilitating the role of the attacking fullbacks - with players able to press and play at a high tempo, and give Gerrard freedom to play.

Couple of easy games coming up - if he doesn't improve then is it the bench ?
