Would we have enough ?

The theory has been suggested a cpl of times , that if we can urchase a real quality player we will not buy ant make do targets ....... which i totally agree with .

 

As we know , January , can be a difficult window , to find and be able to get good transfers done .

 

If we dont get anyone in over the next cpl of days , and knowing that Lucas is out for the remainder of the season , would we have enough within our squad to possibly get that fourth spot ?

I know that the loss of Lucas is big , Spearing will help def , but its a position we need to strengthen , but the return of our magician , little Luis Suarez , will be a huge gain again , he gives us so much in the final third .

 

I genuinely believe that the return of Suarez can help us go on a run and lift us into that fourth spot .

I would say chances are at this point that we WON'T make it. If we do it'll because we convert a higher percentage of chances created than so far this season.

What's happened to young Flanagan. He was great at the end of last season and seems to have disappeared off the first team radar. I know he had a bad game early in the season but surely he hasn't gone downhill that much.

Kelly is possibly going to end up as a centre back , so Flanno could then move up to compete for the right back spot .

Normally, i'd say no

 

But this league is s***, and i think Luis will have been watching recent games, thinking about tactics - we could see a better player than before the ban, so it's still possible. It's imperative we win the " 6 pointers "

 

Would like to see Shelvey involved more if Adam's slump continues but mostly a 4-3-3 from here to the end of the season. An improvement in performance and approach against the weaker sides.

I think Martinez is the best for us to get in the summer. I think he will become a great player.

 

If Henderson and Carroll keep improving it is more about getting our tacktics right.

 

I think that our defence is sorted for the couple of years, with Kelly able to play CB and Flanno coming in.

 

Signing Martinez, an attacker (Suarez like), and a young winger like Sinclair would be a fantastc summer.

Got to bare in mind that anyone U-21 doesn't have to be registered. So that doesn't include Hendo, Shelvey, Kelly etc.
