I've been his worse critic in the past. I hated his crazy and sometimes racist behaviour when he was young and he was such an *rsehole when he was playing against us. I didn't like the whole Riise thing either -- totally out of order.

 

BUT...

 

My friends in Cardiff always said that he treated tradesmen who came to his house incredibly well. They won't have a bad word said about him.

 

He did a really honourable thing in insisting on playing for his hometown club and doing all he could to get them promoted.

 

He quietly gives plenty of money to charities and his football camps for disadvantaged kids.

 

But when playing for us he brings a whole new dimension to things. He encourages our players, he's got the best fight in him of any person on the pitch, he winds up the opposition, he is incredibly unselfish. He is looking like our best signing of the summer to be honest. I bloody love the guy.
