The most successful League Cup team in HISTORY are on the march.

The draw is tonight after Sheff Wed vs Blackpool on Sky. Match will be played 23/24 of August. Unless we draw one of the 5 postponed games, in which case who knows when it will get played.

We can't do any worse than last season. But hopefully it's an opposition worth getting out of bed for.

Is anyone bothered?

I'd quite like to go to Wembley.

Perfect opportunity for the kids. Who cares about the opposition lets go with:

Hansen

Flanagan Kelly Wisdom Robinson

Shelvey Coady Suso

Silva Ngoo Sterling

We really could do with a trophy this season. Be strange seeing go into the cup competitions early for a change. Strangely exciting though.

Competition singular we didn't get relegated (two divisions) and will still enter the FA Cup in the 3rd round

Feeling better now :)

And yeah Northampton at home would do

Would like a mix of kids and a few good senior players. Would also like to see Kelly at CB to have a look at him there. Which senior players depends on fitness and injuries.

IMO the kids who have already got first team football experience should be starting. Shelvey and Spearing in midfield, Flanagan and Robinson at full back; they have had a taste of first team football (and have done well) so we need to keep them involved.

Sterling, Coady, Wisdom and Suso on the bench, the very talented kids who haven't yet got any experience of the first team.

That's alright, depending on the draw.

Team of youngsters would be a bad idea. I don't want a season of just 40 games.

But I don't want to see the likes of Poulsen given a game instead just because its the League Cup.

Kelly at CB, Flanagan and or Robinson at full back would be about my kid limit. The likes of Maxi and Aurelio could figure as well.

With Sterling and Coady to come off the bench if the tie is appropriate.

Everton at home, please. Play a mix of reserves and kids to keep fitness up and for experience.

But have them play in the wrong positions... Poulsen in goal, Cole at leftback, Strling at centreback, Ngog up front etc... just for a laugh. And kit them out with comic footwear like flippers, deep sea diving boots, slippers and It's A Knockout-style Dinosaur shoes.

And win 3-0.

Yeah I don't agree with a team full of kids as it might not do them any favours.

The ones with PL experience should start (think Kelly at CB, Flanno, Robinson and Shelvey defo) and our good squad players like Maxi and Aurelio for experience. Really talented very young ones like Suso and Sterling on the bench.

We have much more strength in depth now, can afford to put a couple of more first team players in there too.

Reliably informed the draw is seeded

So we'll get someone s***.

Hopefully if it is away then it is a decent unusual trip
