Quality that last night from him, love it. TBH I hate it when any good player wants to leave and I was a bit bitter with him for a while as I was with Xabi.

 

But watching that team he was playing in last night, how the hell could anyone hold it against him that he wanted to go there? The chance to play in one of the greatest club sides in history - he would have been mad to turn it down, especially the state we were in at the time. He gave us an extra season after they wanted him first time.

 

And always gave 100% evey time he pulled the shirt on, even when he was on hs way out. Good lad, hope we play him in the CL sometime in the coming years.
