Dyou not want him back?

Can think about 5-6 other coaches i'd take above him at the moment, but the likelihood of any of them coming to us is slim to none , so i'd have him back

Not really, I just want a completely fresh start. For the supporters to unite as much as possible, it'll only take one defeat for him and it'll all kick off again, he'll never have 100% of people behind him. He's a very good manager but I'd leave him be.

I'd have him back like a shot, tell him that he is only in charge of the first team tho. Bomb out ANY players that bitch about him coming back.

I hope one day Rafa will come back to us - just not yet. Not enough water has gone under the bridge yet. Or something. I'm hoping Rafa hasn't had an argument with Morrati. He needs to get his head down for a bit and get on with his bosses. He'll be getting a bit of a reputation if he's not careful.

This spot on. We need a fresh start now, and I absolutely love Rafa.

Watched the Milan derby yesterday.

Rafa and Pelligrino were clueless as they were for us last season. And it's not as if Milan were that good either. Rafa after the game used the injuries excuse for the defeat.

No matter how bad things are under Hodgson, I don't want Rafa back, even though I love the f*****.

We need a manager who doesn't enforce cowardly tactics.

He's taken on pretty much the hardest job in football at the moment, though I still think he'll win the title once they get into their stride, and you can never write his teams off in a two legged tie. He could probably do with a complete break for 6 months but I don't think resting is in his nature.

The injuries are not really an excuse though are they?

He's missing Julio Cesar, Tiago Motta, Muntari, Maicon and others are only just coming back from injury, like Millito and Cambiasso. They're going through a difficult time, but they'll still challenge for the league

I think the row was made up on twitter. I've read on football Italia Morrati blaming injuries and saying how they need to spend in Jan. They won't sack him and he'll never manage us again. Time to move on, hopefully with someone with a more attacking mentality.

Makes me laugh when I see this about him, sure he was cautious and safety-first but we regularly out-scored the other teams in the league under him.

Why? The injuries are teriible. They have zero fit central midfielders. They are all injured

I'd be made up to see what a Benitez Liverpool would look like when given sufficient funds.

i think we'd have won the title at least once since if Moores hadn't have sold.

Nonsense though. He won't come back this season, or a few years. He'd need his head read if he did.

In the two transfer windows from summer 07 to Jan 08, Rafa was handed about £40m netto, to supplement a team that had finished 4th and been a CL finalist. Its not like he didn't have money at certain points.

I don't think there was much wrong with Rafa's attacking instincts. Unlike Houllier's team, under Rafa we generally held a high line and dominated possession against lesser teams and knew when to sit back and attack in proper measure against the really strong teams, His main problem was his ability to convert dominance of possession into chances and goals against teams that parked the bus. Too static far too often, especially away from home.
