if we're going down the sporting director route, and that man is kenny, i could be convinced. although it's not my preferred model for us. can't swallow the Florentino Purslow (TM Carralegend) alternative despite cole looking a good addition. the success of the powerhouses in spain and elsewhere is based most strongly on their resources and not autonomous chairmen and sporting directors. and we don't have much resource. the clubs that tend to achieve above their limitations, particularly here, tend to do it by working with and for good football managers over the long term.
