he is not s**** but just isn't good enough in the position he is in,he adds nothing to us aside from break play up,we are desperate for a proper playmaker.i guess benitez underestimated just how big of a loss xabi was going to be.

The problem is that today he isnt even doing the simple stuff well, normally you can count on him to be able to pass the ball about 5 yards. His limitations (and there are many) are well known, he slows down play too much, rarely passes the ball in a incisive way. I would play Masch and Gerrard in CM

during a game.

great job.

Ok, I take it back then, that's not on. But he'll be s*** in 7 minutes.

He used to be s*** all the time

Now he mixes it up a bit more. Average one game, s*** the next

To be fair, he played one excellent pass last Thursday. That has to carry him now for several weeks

Rafa better be begging the Juve board to make him his first 'statement' signing. Followed by Ngog and Kuyty.

if I were Juve I'd be worried about the formations not the players

this crop of players could have won the league this year, had they been set out correctly and been allowed to flourish - a reflection of this year's PL standard but also of the extent to which Rafa has lost the plot this year

......and if we didn't have the injuries that we have had? Both Gerrard and Torres have rarely looked fit all season long.

And i am presuming that the likes of Rafa, Torres, Reina and Agger are all wrong when they say that they need 3, 4, 5 more players to even think about competing?

Given our weakness at centreback and fullback, and having only one decent striker on our books, what mythical formation would this be? 1-2-7?

Pft. What do they know. They don't watch from the stands every other week.
