We often speculate how a particular run of games might change our season, but I think there can be no underestimating the importance of our next two premier league matches. Win and we'll be in the unbelievable position (considering our earlier poor form), of breathing down Arsenal's proverbial neck and third place. Lose and we could be facing a very uphill battle to simply remain where we are.

What are your opinions in regards to these matches and do you think we have finally reached that pivotal point in our season?

Yes. It could well turn on these. Winning either of them is a big ask.

There is momentum in our favour. Just as we've been able to put some points on the board, the three clubs we're up against have developed vertigo.

Of the next two games, it's essential we dont lose to City and give them a boost to take advantage of games in hand. Arsenal is tough to call, much depends on where their heads are at after today, there for the taking or hard to handle?

Tempting to say we'd take 2 draws now.

Looking at the fixture lists of us, City and United, we have the easier run in. We need to see the togetherness of the past few games maintained, and then we should pull this off.

Both games think we need to play with a bit more of an expansive team as there'll be more room to play football in. The games we've had recently have been roll the sleeves up stuff which we've shown massive heart in. We need to keep that but also look to be more creative.

The one area I'm worried about is Carra at full back. Clichy and Bellamy running at him could be a bit of a problem but then do we expose Kelly in big games? Suppose Degen could play there but will his attacking forays leave even more space in behind him to exploit. Tricky.

Would like to see Kuyt up top, Maxi and Riera wide with Gerrard and Aquilani playing in midfield with Macsherano holding. Like Hector has mentioned I'd take a draw v Arsenal and win v City.

I think against Arsenal we need to stop their midfield playing and hit them on the break. I think the mancs game plan was spot on the other week, if you open up against them they will make full use of the space they get and will hurt us. I'd have pretty much the line up from yesterday and get in their faces don't give them room to play.

Arsenal will depend on today

If they get a seeing to at Chelsea, then I actually think we have a chance of nicking something, if they get something to play well there then there tails will be up and I dont see us getting a thing

Not as pivotal as they would have been had City won yesterday. If we get a draw there we'll get 4th, they're all chokers.

Yeah, this weekend has been another reminder that we're scrapping it out with the terminally inconsistent. A good thing for us because that precious holy grail of consistency is something we had not so long ago, and if we get it back we'll cruise to 4th. Still, also a reminder of our new level. Still, just right now I couldn't give a f*** as long as we get that 4th spot.

I think we need to not lose to City, mainly. Once we've got Arsenal and City out of the way we've got just 2 tough games left out of a remaining 13 (I think). City and Spurs would have about 4 or 5 left each against the top 7.
