Bosmans for next season

So it looks like we'll have to shop in the bargain bin again next summer, but are there many good players we can pick up for free?

 

The only ones I know of are Goran Pandev, Milan Jovanovic and Adam Johnson.

 

Pandev has been linked with Inter and Jovanovic with AC. Both would be a pretty good option for when Torres isn't in the team and both can play in the Gerrard role too.

 

I really rate Johnson, he may not be a world beater, but he'd be a good squad member, a kind of left sided Milner. He has an eye for goal too. We could let Riera go for a decent fee and use the money for something else.

could see pandev staying in serie a if inter are in for him, since the exchange rate and income tax are going to affect how easy it is to attract bosmans to england.

Think Boro might sell Johnson in Jan if he doesnt sign a new deal which might mean that we'll probably have to make a bid to get the player. There'll be plenty of suitors who'd be ready to pay 5 million +, i reckon.

 

We can talk to Pandev in Jan itself which is good, but if he's made up his mind to join Inter, there's little anyone can do about it.
