Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part, but I thought he looked pretty good up front yesterday.

I hope he could be the player to back up Torres for next year. It really would solve a problem for us if he were to take to that position. He's got the speed, he's skillful, and I suspect he's got a bit of a nose for the goal.

Fair weather forward

He's really useful when we're two up and the game is dead. Not so much when it's life or death

He's scored important goals.

Still think he'll be sold in the summer, and rightly so. It hasn't worked and he's still worth several million so the money should go towards a better player.

nice weather, sun on his back and no pressure on the team, Babel will do a decent enough job.

I just don't think he's the kind of player you can rely on when you are playing the likes of Stoke or Hull in the rain on a cold day.

his game is not suited to the physicality of the PL and he should head to Spain or Italy where he might shine.

he scored yesterday, but he should have buried the header and given the keeper no chance from that close in. maybe that's being a bit too picky, but I am pretty sure he'll never be that alternate forward we all thought he was.

Watched him rip Ramos a new one in a highly pressurized situation the other month.

He needs to start more games, and start several in a row, not one here, sub for the next 4, another start, more sub appearances etc.

Agree, as second or third choice striker plus option on wing he is an option for the squad.

I would keep him but it really comes down to his attitude and will he work harder to improve his game. But for next season can see him playing more games up front if he stays.

He's not good enough to be 2nd choice striker. I'd rather play Ngog or Kuyt upfront than Babel. Is he worth the loss in player value playing backup on the wing and backup upfront as he wont get many games? Another season like this one will lose us a lot of dough.

I thought he was rubbish yesterday again until his goal, we need to seel this summer as we might still get a good fee for him, he isn't going to improve unfortunatly

I predict a swap with suarez

It absolutley baffles me how people keep on referring to Babel as 'skillful'. He looks nothing of the sort to me. Skill to me suggests technique allied with the guile to make use of it, and the lad has naever shown the latter and the former only very sporadically.

agree, think he looks more cumbersome and clumsy than skilful.

except Robbie Keane

I assume from your post in the thread in the General Footy Forum that you already had something against Keane/Dubliners in general before he arrived?

For my part, I don't think there has ever been a Liverpool player who I haven't wanted it to work out for. Bowyer would have tested that if he were to have signed all those years ago, but Keane is hardly in his category of c***ishness so whilst I was delighted to see the back of him it was a shame that it came to that.

The extereme reaction of Irish fans to Keane - at both ends of the scale - was always slightly irritating to be honest.

Still the huge amount of sitters Robbie missed was a mystery, And who is that Scottish gimp commenting Barcelona - Villareal?
