Andy @ Allerton Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Are you sure that's right? I thought the Mancs played after our next game.

Flight Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 Just reading a few of the papers. Back page of todays Express : 'I don't know if United are feeling the pressure. You will have to ask Mr Ferguson. My impression is that Liverpool are doing well.'
WillG Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 The Glams are still favourites but when they showed the run-in on MOTD 2 I was filled with optimism. I will go as far to say that if we win our remaining games... * we will win our 19 championship * 'Mr Ferguson' will wake up with Bobby Ewing in his shower, the last 20 years will all have been a dream and we'll be back on our "f*cking perch"
Ethan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Anelka is out for the next 3 weeks with a toe injury - which is nice
Snoeker Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Relagation haunted Boro and Pompey showing up for their games would be nice.
Ethan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Relagation haunted Boro and Pompey showing up for their games would be nice. Boro are game raisers against the big 4 teams its their cup finals
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 * 'Mr Ferguson' will wake up with Bobby Ewing in his shower, the last 20 years will all have been a dream and we'll be back on our "f*cking perch" Imagine him getting so close to 18/4, only for us to make it 19/6. He'd drop dead.
Des Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 That would be unreal but I don't think we'll lift both the League and CL this year - maybe one but not both.
Falconhoof Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I will go as far to say that if we win our remaining games... I read somewhere that if we win all our remaining games it will only be the 3rd time in our history that we've had an 11 game winning run in the league.Throw in the CL games and it becomes a very tall order.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 That would be unreal but I don't think we'll lift both the League and CL this year - maybe one but not both. of course, and to be honest I'd be relieved right now if we were already out of the CL. Still, never say never.
Dominus Maximus Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 LFC 02 May Newcastle away Didn't we win that already?
Bailo Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Didn't we win that already? To be fair, I'd be very happy to play that fixture again. In fact, can we just not play them 11 times instead of everyone else we've got left?
charlie clown Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I read somewhere that if we win all our remaining games it will only be the 3rd time in our history that we've had an 11 game winning run in the league. In the days when we won the league every other season we would win it at easter and then take the foot off the pedal. I remember year after year us having a really terrible end to the season. It's a very tall order but I don't see past history as being a fair indicator.

Can see United and Chelsea dropping more than more points also. So it is very possible to win the League without winning out.
Flight Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 I honestly think if we win the Prem then Ferguson will retire. He's only lasted so long to try and overtake our title wins. There's only so many years he can stay in football with a pacemaker - 3 years he he's had it now isn't it ?

Lost to the mancs, and then put every other team to the sword

Swagger Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I honestly think if we win the Prem then Ferguson will retire. He's only lasted so long to try and overtake our title wins. Nah, if we do win it this year, I hope he sticks around to see us winning it again next year ... On a different note, these kind of threads are pretty pointless, as there is no telling who will drop points where. I don't think that the mancs will win all their remaining games, but I don't think we will either; hopefully they will drop at least four points more than us.

sutty Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 as opposed to the other, multi functional kind of threads.I know what he means though I'm enjoying footy at the moment I'm not even going to go on and on about f***ing England s****. I'm too chilled. The England friendly can f*** off mind.
