Sion Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 This is a very important game for us, especially having no GerrardA stupid 0-0 here and we could easily slip off the pace.Think the team pretty much picks itself, whether Rafa will go with that after Masch, Kuyt and Riera being overused midweek I don't know. Reina Arbeloa Carra Agger Aurelio Kuyt Masch Alonso Riera Keane Torres

Sion Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) Someone is going to write that before every game this season. What if we're 7 points clear/behind with 2 games to go. This is extra important though - We have the easiest tie on paper I think, United away to Villa, Arsenal away to City, Chelsea at home to Newcastlestraight after an international break where lots of our players were used heavilyReady made slip up Edited November 20, 2008 by Sion
psl Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 What if we're 7 points clear with 2 games to go. Those games will be crucial in preparing for the FA Cup and European Cup finals.

baz2107 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Think the side should be exactly as above, we need to win these home games, as long as Keane is fit, I can't see it being anything else, all 4 potential wide players (riera, kuyt, babel and benayoun) played midweek so unless Rafa wants to throw Lucas in I can't see any reason for this not to be the team
fred milne Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Think the team pretty much picks itself: Reina Arbeloa Carra Agger Aurelio Kuyt Masch Alonso Riera Keane TorresThat does seem the likely line-up if Gerrard doesn't make it.
stressederic Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It'd be handy if we could deal out a real thrashing to Fulham.
honourablegeorge Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It'd be handy if we could deal out a real thrashing to Fulham. They've been doing well though, they seem to have a balance to them, and a front pairing that's more than the sum of it's parts. Bullard & Murphy isn'a bad central pairing for a supposed small club. We'll need to play well.
Sion Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Fulham have a strong defence. I like Hangeland, think he's a good player.Zamora and Johnson will be a nuisanceMurphy is obviously a good player, don't think too much of Bullard. He's one of them nice guys so rated higher players.
honourablegeorge Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 He's one of them nice guys so rated higher players. He's another Beckham-style pretty boy.
Clay Davis Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I rate Bullard - alot higher than Murphy anyway.
Stevie H Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 bullard's useful. more mobile than murphy. fulham a nice midfield but it's the sort that we really should be bossing. can't see us giving them a hiding, hodgson will have them too organised for that. two nil will do nicely thanks.

Well, yeah - a game we should win, but if we fanny about and give the ball away, they're capable.
Woodsyla Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Murphy is obviously a good player, don't think too much of Bullard. He's one of them nice guys so rated higher players. I'd actually say the opposite, Bullard was the key player at Wigan and was a key player at Fulham last season, so much so that when he got injured Fulham really struggled. He's a real battler but he's got a bit of skill about him as well, good player.
Chili Palmer Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 We will win 7-2 Carra will be fecking raging. Loves his clean sheets.
Hassony Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Carra will be fecking raging. Loves his clean sheets. He'll score the sixth goal, so he won't be too bothered

He's a real battler but he's got a bit of skill about him as well, good player. Their form turned around dramatically when he got fit last season, and he seemed to get a goal or an assist in every game
Dan Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) Love the story of Jewell decking him when he was Wigan manager (Bullard that is) Edited November 21, 2008 by DS77
