  1. I believe they may have managed to get rid of some of the touts with the ID thing they did to members with 13+ credits As 20% didn’t prove their ID making additional tickets available for 2nd half of season games https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.liverpoolfc.com/amp/news/tickets/382092-additional-tickets-available-for-man-utd-fixture-following-fan-update-process

Crawley will open i would think

    The cricket

Moeen seems to have found some form 1-22 with ball and 121 off 60 to chase 185 for place at finals day

    The cricket

Think there will be a fair amount of rotation with 5 back to back matches. Fitness dependent Stokes should play all 5 (as 4th Seamer) with 3 from Anderson Woakes Broad Archer Stone and Curran playing for 3 places based on form, conditions and fitness. Batting is clearly the major issue though

Don't like the format at all, format I liked best was 2007 with 4 groups of 4, but they knocked that on the head as India and Pakistan went out in groups. Reserve days would have helped to an extent (but its been raining all week!!) but theres no space for reserve days when you have 45 group matches!
  6. Presume it’ll be Mignolet Gomez lovren Moreno Lallana milner/Wijnaldum shaqiri oxlade chamberlain Origi sturridge Brewster Leaves one place to either put 2nd keeper or young player like Woodburn or jones. Personally I’d go with a 2nd keeper as there isn’t a chance the young player would get on ahead of other options-whereas if there was an absolute disaster with injuries/red card you could need other keeper

Presume it’s cover if mo or Rashid get injured or lose form. Probably a better bowler than Denly-but odd they didn’t pick him in first place
  8. I didn’t see city dropping points to palace Leicester or Newcastle and they got f*** all out of those games

    The cricket

Thought England were more unfortunate in this test (after an abject performance in the first) was a bad tossto lose and bowled well enough to bowl windies out for 150 on another day. However batting was awful once again-but you simply can’t be playing with 3 bowlers, 5 all rounders. 1 batsman and 2 unproven openers.
  10. Unlikely as city will probably be in carabao final that weekend so won’t have their league game against Everton
  11. He was on bench against Newcastle and arsenal 2 games that were comfortable he should have been coming on in both of those games to get minutes under his belt rather than A couple of the changes we made in each

Should be 6 or 7. Which is easy to do in home tests. Issue is trying to balance the bowling attack for this tour and to a lesser extent Windies. You need 3 spinners, then ideally 2 fast bowlers plus Stokes. To do that you either need to play Denly at 3 (leave out Rashid or Leach-therefore weaken spin attack) or with Root wanting to bat 4 it means one of Ali, Buttler, Stokes, Foakes or Curran has to bat at 3 and suppose theory is Ali does it in county cricket

Think this hits nail on head-same old questions are there about an opener and no.3 with added question marks against Cook now. Moeen is clearly England’s best spin option at home but hasn’t done well overseas. Next 2 series in Sri Lanka will have to be horses for courses selection just to get by-we have 6 players who could bat between 6 and 8 but need a consistent top 4 if we are ever going to be a top side. The best England team in recent memory 2010-12 had this whereas now it’s so reliant on the bowlers to bowl us out of trouble and the all rounders to get us a respectable score
  14. Did anyone else have issues getting into the ground, went to my block to scan in for my normal season ticket seat 20 mins before kick off and it wouldn't scan, was told to see a steward with a yellow flag, who then said yes theres a problem with your card go to ticket office, get there and there is a huge queue, they had around 10 windows open and it was taking 10-15 minutes for each person to get sorted, when I finally got to the window for my turn it took about 30 seconds to give my address and date of birth, then they printed me a paper ticket, I asked what the issue was and she told me it

Reckon Vince is batting 3, Between Ballance and Malan for 5. Plunkett definitely should've been there esp if Wood isn't fit to make the trip. Am guessing they will have a few other options in the lions squad as there is no reserve opener in that leaked one
