Madrid-based paper Marca has labelled Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson 'senile' and compared him to dictator General Franco

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, 57, said Ferguson was 'getting old' after an interview in which Manchester United's boss resurrected Real's historial links with Franco.

Manchester United manager Ferguson claimed earlier this week that Madrid had only signed Gabriel Heinze from the Red Devils in 2007 as a means of luring Cristiano Ronaldo to the Bernabeu.

"I don't believe they were interested in Heinze - good player though he is. The end game was to get Ronaldo,'' Ferguson said in an interview with GQ Magazine:

"What made it [their pursuit of Man Utd player Ronaldo] really obscene was that Madrid, as General Franco's club, had a history of being able to get whoever and whatever they wanted, before democracy came to Spain," Ferguson continued.

Madrid-based paper Marca responded with a series of five pictures of Ferguson changing into Franco, with a headline 'Ferguson Senile'.

Calderon himself said: "I'm not going to waste any time answering him. I admire his history but recently he has gone a bit senile."

Strangely enough the mancs are less visible than usual at the moment.

I wonder why that can be?

What's 'go to Donegal' a euphemism for?

I think he meant Donnie Gall, the local homosexual newsagent that he's been 'comforting' for the last few months.

FERGIE BOYCOTTING SKY OVER ROONEY CRITICISM

Posted 05/11/08 08:34EmailPrintSave

Sir Alex Ferguson is refusing to speak to Sky Sports after two of the station's pundits dared to criticise Wayne Rooney's recent behaviour.

Ferguson is livid over comments made by Paul Merson and Phil Thompson and has warned that he will not co-operate with the station before or after tonight's match with Celtic. The Manchester United has refused to speak to Sky ahead of the Champions League fixture and has given no indication the boycott will be lifted for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

Thompson enraged Ferguson by opining that Rooney ought to have been sent off against Everton for kissing the Manchester United badge in an apparent bid to antagonise the Goodison Park crowd two weeks ago while Merson was adamant that Rooney should have been dismissed for either of the two fouls he committed late on against Hull this weekend.

The incidents were not included in Match of the Day's highlights package of the game.

Just watch Keyes etc grovel and suck up to him even more now (as the BBC are already doing, as per last line)

I just wish he'd hurry up and boycott everyone everywhere and then we wouldn't have to listen to his senile ramblings anymore, ever.

When he comes on telly, turn over, if theres an article in the paper, dont read it.

Its easy really.

That involves effort on my part. It'd be a lot easier for me if he just fecked off from the telly and newspapers altogether. He's gone a long way towards it though, I'll grant him.
