NWR's Achievements

  1. Actually it didn’t. Everone has been pointing out every decision that goes our way for years while strangely ignoring their own good fortunes. As the top team for the last 2 decades it is understood by most that as a very attacking team we will get the rub of the green so to speak. What it did do is show Benitez up for a bit of an idiot along the Keegan lines, always looking to blame others for his bad decisions and management (Outside of the faithful circle of Liverpool fans that is). He staged it with the bit of paper and it blew up in his face cause your season fell apart from that moment on. He really is a bit of a laughing stock amongst other teams fans especially the other top 4 clubs. But you please continue to dress it up how you want and stick by him, that is after all what he wants.
  2. Nope. I just wanna be like you and I am. xxx
  3. Neither Manchester City nor Liverpool could break the deadlock in a dire 0-0 draw at Eastlands. With both sides harbouring hopes of finishing in the Premier League's top four at the end of the season and earning a place in next year's UEFA Champions League, the clash was expected to be a turning point in the campaign. However, with managers Roberto Mancini and Rafa Benitez packing their midfields, chances were few and far between and even second-half substitute Fernando Torres made little impact. The best opportunity of the first period fell to Martin Skrtel just two minutes before the break, but his header was off target from a corner when he should have done better. Emmanuel Adebayor had a long-range effort well saved by Pepe Reina in the second half, and he could have been awarded a penalty late on after going down under the challenge of Daniel Agger, but the game ended in a stalemate. When the teams were announced, it confirmed a tale of two substitutes. The sad thing was, when an opening period containing exactly zero shots on target ended, the respective benches were still the biggest talking points. From Sky Sports Wayne Rooney was the Carling Cup final head boy as Manchester United came from behind to retain a knockout competition for the first time with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa. After starting as a substitute, Rooney was only on the pitch because of an injury to Michael Owen, who had levelled James Milner's fourth-minute penalty. ………….. As tends to be the case when they fall behind, United's response was an all-out attacking assault, which in turn provided Villa with space to counter. The mixture produced a thrilling spectacle, made all the more absorbing because Ferguson's team levelled so quickly. Did I tell yer? We won the Carling Cup. Thats why I am here. From ESPN Soccernet
  4. This thread is just so full of hypocrisy. Your manager berates fat Sam because he plays a defensive style against Liverpool. The other week two so called top foreign managers faced each other with the top priority being do not concede. City v Liverpool turned out to be one of the poorest games of the season. So its ok for Benitez to do that against the so called top 4 when he thinks they are better and so you need to defend and hope to nick a goal on the counter attack. Well it may be news, but most teams are better than Blackburn, so why is it not ok for them to do the same? As for slagging off Moyes buys, look at the s**** Benitez has bought and how much he has spent. Its laughable. Anyway at least he has guarenteed 4th spot.
  5. He aint bad
  6. James Beattie at £6 million. Is £6 mil a lot then? Most of his so called flops have cost less than a couple of million. If we are going to use that to beat the c*** up then we should also be slagging Fergies and Rafas record in the market.
  7. Carling cup Controversially Re the quote earlier about Moyes, do you not think he would be in the top 4 if he had the hundreds of millions that Benitez has blown?
  8. Yea thats it. Oh and talking about massive t***, Good to see you back Cobs. Another year and no title eh? Stick with Andy and that will make you feel much better. Liverpool fans are not the only fans supporting Rafa to saty in the job.
  9. As long as they dont copy the Liverpool style of football eh? The dont conceed a goal set up. Please no, I do enjoy watching Barca. Come to think of it, Is Big Sam the real man in charge at Anfield? Just as you are under achieving this season, you over achieved last season. 19 was never really on, not when you have a manager who takes his most effective players off when he is 1-0 up with 20 minutes to go. 4th is where you should always be.
  10. LoL Very funny, Its been doing the rounds amoungst the cockerneys for weeks only its Benny boy doing the summer bidding. Although they do say he OG is out of his class judging by past signings.
  11. Well that explains it then. I will have a lager.
  12. If only he was more like you and some of your fellow fans.
  13. Nothing positive then? I suppose not when you are so used to watching classic football at Anfield eh? What I got from it... Never count United out, they have the winning mentality. I still dont think we will win any prizes this season though.
  14. ABU They are all out and about nowadays. I must admit though, I wish Gary would quit, he is finished.
  15. Funny thing is we have always had that ref down as a scouse lover who never gives us f*** all. Perhaps he really did think Birmingham would score. Maybe this should be Brummie time.
