ynwa.tv Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Double Agents Down Memory Lane Meet the Referee The referee is 23 years old
Sion Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Something like this would please me Cav Degen Agger Hyypia Insua Pennant Lucas Plessis Benayoun Keane NGOG
Guest Snorky Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 After seeing Pennant coasting in the reserves on Thursday I wouldn't give him a place on the team coach never mind even the bench.

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I was there last time - in 1990. We'd just beaten the Mancs 4-0 & Crewe took the lead, first time that season we'd been behind. Won 4-1 & John Barnes had a pen saved in front of the Kop, to which the Crewe keeper got a big round of applause from the Kop
Guest Snorky Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Didn't see that, was he really that bad?Put The Zhar in there instead then. To me he was going through the motions of the motions. He's just counting his monthly pay packet just like Kewell.
Ben 23 Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 To me he was going through the motions of the motions. He's just counting his monthly pay packet just like Kewell. Only unlike Kewell he doesn't get anywhere near his fair chance and in all honesty you can't blame him for 'coasting' through a reserve game. Hope Pacecho is at least on the bench. Agger and Degen should both start.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Pacheco Nemeth and Ngog to be involved upfront at some point. Other than that, dont really care.
Swipe Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Of our first squad players, i'd play Keane, Degen and Agger. Keane for obvious reasons, and Degen and Agger to get them back into the swing of things. Might be tempted to play Dossena too.
Hassony Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Only unlike Kewell he doesn't get anywhere near his fair chance and in all honesty you can't blame him for 'coasting' through a reserve game.

I dont know what's happening but I was very disappointed with his performance in midweek, he doesn't deserve any more chances if that performance is the norm.
Toni Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) anyone know if the match can be seen on sat tv? doesnt seem they r showing it. Link Edited September 21, 2008 by Toni
Ben 23 Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Great point, as per... Pennant had chances to leave in the summer, I doubt if he would have received the same wages as he is on now. I dont know what's happening but I was very disappointed with his performance in midweek, he doesn't deserve any more chances if that performance is the norm. He's not even got near the first team this season, even though we have been really poor in the main. He's played a few reserve games which is verging on taking the piss really. I don't want to go down the 'treated like a dog' route but he actually has a case in my opinion.
Romario Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Kuyt will plrobably play and run another 40 miles in this game. He'll end up in casualty by emas at this rate. If ever a player needed a rest right now it's him.
Spike Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I'm actually going to this as an away fan with my BIL and niece who are ST holders at the Alex.
Chili Palmer Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Kuyt will plrobably play and run another 40 miles in this game. He'll end up in casualty by emas at this rate. If ever a player needed a rest right now it's him. Just an aside. Collymore was on the radio after the game on saturday and was saying that a source at Anfield had told him that when discussing the money at Man City with Rafa he said something like 'I'd rather sell Torres than Kuyt as he has more influence on the way we play'. After a 0-0 with Stoke I agree with him.

You look at it one way, I look at it another. If a player is not in the first team or squad, I expect that player to put in a lot more effort than others and force his way back into the team or squad and not sulk and play like a tart in the reserves.

He has had his chances before to be fair. He hasnt taken them but has shown that he isnt good enough for Liverpool. I doubt he has improved that much over the summer to be given another chance.
GWistooshort Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 anyone know if the match can be seen on sat tv? doesnt seem they r showing it. Link the only place I've been able to find it is on LFC TV at midnight tonight
GWistooshort Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Provisional squad according to this morning's Daily Post: Cavalieri, Agger, Hyypia, Degen, Insua, Spearing, Mascherano, Lucas, Alonso, Plessis, El Zhar, Babel, Benayoun, Riera, Ngog, Keane, Kuyt, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Dossena, Reina. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverp...64375-21876376/
Walrus Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 ----------Cavalieri--------------Degen-Agger-Hyypia-Insua-El Zhar-Plessis-Lucas-Benayoun--------Keane-N'Gog---------- I'd have thought someone like Pacheco would have been in the squad at least. The omission of Pennant says a lot IMO.
GWistooshort Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The omission of Pennant says a lot IMO. Another article in the Daily Post says that Pennant picked up a knock playing for the reserves the other day http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverp...64375-21877961/
Gomez Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The omission of Pennant says a lot IMO. More than spending the entire summer trying to flog him?
Will Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The Post today said that Spearing and Darby wouldn't be in the squad. Which is odd if you ask me
