Been saying for ages that I think we'll sign Owen in January or next summer for free.

It's quite plausible that we will.

I think he'd have to take a massive cut in wages. But given it would be his last chance to redeem his career, he'd most likely take it.

Torres

Keane

Owen

Kuyt

Babel

Can't see it at all.

The only ex Red player I would consider resigning right now is Florent Sinama Pongolle.

We should not have let him go. It was a daft decision. Could have saved money on Bellamy, Pennant and Benni and bought a first teamer with change over.

If that c*** ever plays for us again then I'm not renewing my season ticket.

Is that the same C**T that won us the FA cup in Cardiff - idiot

Would have him back tomorrow. May not get a full season out of him but if he played twenty league games its guaranteed 10 goals if not more.

After watching him and Luis the other night, I'd take both!

I know he won that game. I was there.

I wouldn't have him back tommorow because he and his agent shafted the club for millions of quid.

IF he hadn't been so dishonest.IF he hadn't been so greedy - then he could have moved abroad with the clubs and the fans blessings - he could have stayed a season or free and he would have been welcomed back with open arms after the 'buyback clause' had allowed us first choice.

He would have had his dream. We would have had our player back afterwards.

Everyone would have been happy.

I do not see why the club would take the massive loss in money that his greed caused us and compound it by having this England obsessed player then 'resting' for league games only to then be suddenly 'fit' for England (See Liverpool, Newcastle United playing stats)

The Newcastle ones are particularly entertaining.

IF our club were stupid and gullible enough to waste all that money on this player that has shafted us once - then I'd expect none of our fans to be moaning when he feels he can't play for us - but is delighted to turn out for England.

You should never go back. He burned his bridges long ago and I'd hope as a club we were not idiotic enough to throw more good money after bad.

Were you criticising when Fowler was brought back? Not having a go, just interested what your reaction was given the above comment.

To be fair it was two totally different transfers.

FWIW I'd welcome Owen back. He was my hero and the player for me.
