Thought Sammy Lee was coming back to us, once things were sorted out?

he's been in the directors box for quite a few matches recently

It's not Sammy but it is another Liverpool old boy.

Just saw that on the BBC. Short of turning up at Newcastle, I dont think you could find a funnier place for him to end up. Well maybe digging ditches or selling burgers out of a van in Dundalk but that's all ahead of him

it made me feel a little better when one of the blokes at work was saying their new signing from Stockport was the worst player they have ever seen

I've never really hated Leeds. I'm a bit young to have experienced the "Dirty Leeds" era but over the years, they've had some great players and actually have a proper heritage and history (I'm a sucker for anything like that). Their fall invoked sympathy and hilarity in strong measures but I'd still rather have them in the Premiership than someone like, say, Reading.

Really hope Gary Mac can take them forward as well as Wise did.

He took over when they were in the relegation zone and already fighting a losing battle on and off the pitch plus the club opted to take the ten point deduction early so as to give Wise a chance to rebuild for the following season. The fact that even after that and a further fifteen point deduction, he was still able to guide them towards almost certain promotion is some achievement.

I hate the little c*nt but credit where it's due.

When Poyet was there, Leeds did well - since he left, they've been gash.

So the Leeds fans reckon that their former assistant manager was the brains of the operation? Well they are in for one hell of a surprise with Staunton then

That's a good point in fairness. However Wise's managerial record has been pretty good; a cup final with Millwall and a promotion with Swindon in a short spell is excellent for a young manager.

He's still a c*nt though and the fact that he's now involved with the Geordies allows us to magnify that further

"I'm the assistant gawffa" just doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Hope Gary Mac and Stan do a good job there. Two Liverpool legends.
