In all my years as a LMTB and season ticket holder ( Its years since I gave that up) I have only been to Wembley 4 times. Two were FA Cup Finals and two were Charity shields. In all 8 goals were scored. The best one I saw was Norman Whitesides against Everton in 84. I was lucky to be in line with the 18 yard line when he cut inside and curled a left footer past Southall. Pure class.

In the 77 final I have to admit the best goal of the game was scored by Jimmy Case. Still, it was a happy day for us. I was also at your King Kenny`s first game at Wembley when we drew 1-1.

Anyway, Big Norm it is for me.

Jimmy Case's goal was a cracker, as was the daisy cutter from Alan Kennedy in the Milk Cup final, and the curler by Ronnie Whelan.

The best "goal" for me was the left foot effort by Alec Lindsay in the 74 cup final.

The best that counted would have to be Rush's goal to seal the 3-1 win against Everton.

Hard to disagree with any of that - but I'd add Kenny's against Bruges in '78 - the 'dink'.

I have only seen Liverpool twice an Wembley. Coca Cola Cup final against Bolton in 95 and the FA cup final i'd rather forget!!

Macca's second against Bolton was quality but Thompson's goal was arguably better

Whiteside was '85, but it was a great goal alright. I think in a sense, it was the greatest goal of ALL.

The best one I've seen at Wembley, as opposed to watching on TV, was Ronnie Whelan's in the 1983 League Cup final.

Not one of ours but Keith Houchen's diving header for Coventry against Spurs in the '87 Cup Final was fantastic.

get's my vote - real Roy of the Rovers stuff!

Being there - Michael Owen's first Wembley goal v Luxembourg - i was sat right behind it, could see it was headed for the top corner the moment it left his boot

on TV - tricky, can't decide between

Gazza's free-kick v Arsenal in the 91 cup semi

Steve Mackenzie's equaliser in the 'Ricky Villa' 81 final replay

Gazza v Scotland in Euro 96

That'd be mine, who was that against again? ;)

You dont remember? Was that the game when your goalkeeper should have been sent down for attempted murder outside the area?

;)
