Micah Richards is refusing to sign a new contract with man City, because they won't include a get-out clause in it.

We need to get in there.

Don't start me off, that;s another player I would part ex Crouch for :bleh:

My friend delivers condoms to Sven's secretary and apparently Richards walked out of Sven's office yesterday in a fit. Sven went off on one, smashed the champagne bottle, ate all the chocolates and cancelled the dinner and hotel bookings.

he doesn't like to spend big on players

No, of course he doesn't.

let's just say for one minute that this was true

here is a case in point about 'overpaying' for players - we buy the kid for whatever it takes and we do whatever it takes to get the negotiation done properly; f*** the valuations, the purchase of 2 or 3 more players of this caliber will win us the league -how valuable is that?

The signing of a very very raw centre half who at the moment is getting lucky and allowing his pace to get out of the trouble he puts himself and his team into for 20 odd million is not good value for money and is exactly the reason teams look aroad for players.

what you saying, he isn't gonna be a player?

and f*** value for money when you're looking for the final pieces in the jigsaw - where would we be now if we had him and Alves? it's not rocket science is it? do you think Marseille would have enjoyed trying to look after full backs tearing down the line as much as they did midfielders who couldn't bring the ball out and keep it long enough to mount proper attacks?

a million percent yes

we had already lost some of our game through Xabi and Agger being missing so getting a flying wide player to stretch them, with Momo available to clean up any mess behind, as opposed to trying to start attacks, would have been great

Thought what I was saying was adequately summed up in the first sentence. Saying somebody is raw doesn't mean he's not a good player or could potentially be a good player.

He's so far from being the final piece, or one of the final pieces, in the jigsaw it's untrue.
