fred milne Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 One to bring a bit of cheer to the Harrington household..... RIISE FIT FOR WEEKEND CLASH Paul Eaton 19 September 2007 John Arne Riise has given Liverpool an injury boost by declaring himself fit for the weekend visit of Birmingham City. The Norwegian international has missed the last two matches with a groin problem but has been given the all clear to resume full training ahead of Saturday's league clash. "I'm fit again and raring to go now," Riise told Liverpoolfc.tv. "It was devastating for me to miss the last two games because they were big matches against Portsmouth and Porto. "I picked up the injury playing for my national team but a scan shown it wasn't a serious problem. I missed four or five days training but I'm a quick healer and thankfully I am fit again now. "Throughout my team at Liverpool I haven't picked up too many injuries and haven't missed too many games. I'm full of energy now after not playing in the last couple of games and I'm looking forward to the rest of the week's training and the chance to force my way back into the side at the weekend." http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...070919-1644.htm
Sion Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 It has been difficult without him... I've had to struggle to place the blame on individuals.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Throughout my team at Liverpool stupid ginger b*****d
Flight Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 It has been difficult without him... I've had to struggle to place the blame on individuals. To be fair, the amount of hoofing we did last night you'd have thought he was playing.
Stevie H Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 stupid ginger b*****d not to worry, his kind will be extinct within a century.
Knox_Harrington Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 One to bring a bit of cheer to the Harrington household.....I almost sobbed with joy when Fabio came on.
Ben 23 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 With Fabio about he shouldn't get near the team...
Coyler Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 To be fair, the amount of hoofing we did last night you'd have thought he was playing. Poor Riise still gets the abuse.
Hassony Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 stupid ginger b*****d i thought you were all for evolution of the language
Guest Finnan3 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 With Fabio about he shouldn't get near the team... Incredible
Red Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 He's the only player who'll get us out of this slump.
The_Adder Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 I like Riise , I think hes pretty useful (cue the booo's), obviously I hate it when he HOOFS it as much as the next man. He gives us balance on the left and was a major part of a defence that has kept the most clean sheets in the Prem for Reina in the last two seasons. I agree that Arbeloa should be our 1st choice left back at the moment as he's been immense. Think Riise might give us back the balance on the left side of midfield cause it aint been too good lately.
Stevie H Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 they really do come in f***ing threes don't they? first alonso, then agger, now riise.
nrkintheuk Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 People on here do talk some s***. In fact whileI think Arbeloa's done OK a lot of people have overlooked the fact that he's been caught upfield a few times and done for a pace a few others. I'm guessing they are hyping him (& Aurelio) purely on the basis that they're not Riise... sure the hoofing gets tedious but he's a decent player and there aren't too many great left backs about.
matty Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 there aren't too many great left backs about. Correct. And Riise's proof.
Hassony Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 There are worse players in this league... there aren't many better left back in the league
Coyler Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 (edited) Better left back in the dressing room. Edited September 21, 2007 by Coyler

muleskinner Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Riise is a great option for the manager to have.
