Gareth Barry 2-1 on Ladbrokes to start in central midfield for England against Estonia.

I'd say he's nailed on if fit myself.

Before you do the bet remember who the manager is.

When you see the red tops saying drop lampard then make the bet.

We all know the guy only does what the rags recommend.

except they didn't say to bring back Heskey or play Barry in the first place

because its "only Estonia" at home, I think SCS will be very tempted to bring lampard, beckham and rooney back

i think the opposite - cos it's only 'Estonia' at home he'll be tempted to keep the same XI. If it was Russia/Croatia he'd be tempted to bring back a BiG nAMe or two

likelihood of all XI being fit and available isn't high though

we shall see soon enough

I think that's spot on.

To be honest, I think he should change the team against Russia though. I think it would make more sense to play Hargreaves instead of Barry. I think he is better in the holding role.

No, that was Michael Owen. Or what about Lampard getting dropped and refusing to go on the bench against Andorra? He should never play for England again, but he was straight back in.

So did anyone get on this one?

You're quids in if so - I thought he'd play anyway but now Hargreaves has been ruled out of the next two qualifiers, Barry has to be a near certainty to start if he doesn't get injured...

I hope carra is watching at home pissing himself.

Don't see why he would be, he's said himself that he would play if called up in an emergency - I know it doesn't fit with the image of Carra that he's scouse first England last but if he were first choice cb he'd have joined up with every squad that he'd been called up for.

when did he say that? in the recent game podcast for the times he said that if he were asked back by mclaren he wouldn't be tempted to change his mind.

he said it at the time it was first mooted he was retiring - i think he said it when he phoned up Talksport

BUT

i dunno if that's changed subsequently following his most recent conversation with McClaren
