Which players do you think will make a big impression next season? I'm not after the obvious candidates but players who you think will go up in everyone's estimation over the course of the season... the Kevin Doyle/Darren Bent/Daniel Agger etc for 07/08.

Here's a few players I think will make an impression:

Stephen Bywater - I really rate this fella. Seen him a few times as my mates are Derby ST holders so if we're not playing I sometimes go with them as well as watching any matches on TV and that. I think he's up there already with any other English keeper as I think they are all much of a muchness and it wouldn't surprise me if Bywater is in the England squad within 2 years. If Derby go down I fully expect him to be highly sought after having had a year in the top divison. From what I've seen I'd say he's dominant in his area, a good shot stopper, decent in the air and not afraid to come and claim crosses, competent with his feet, and two qualities which are essential for a keeper - he's an arrogant b*****d and mad as a hatter (he's been in the local press saying he doesn't think there's a better English keeper than him and he's at a similar level to Robinson as well as starting a craze where Derby fans shout "get your rat out" after he yelle dthat after the play off final).

Stephen Pearson - Another Derby player (I've seen a fair bit of them, that's why!). Has decent experience from his time at Celtic, and can run all day, is powerful with a cracking left foot. All the hype is around Giles Barnes (who is going to be a good player I'm sure) but I reckon it'll be someone with a bit more experience who'll stand out for the struggling team next season.

Carlos Edwards - Noticed him at Luton and he looked a decent player. Surprised he never got a more to the Premiership after his World Cup as I thought he was superb. Surprised to see Sunderland have used him at right back at time, but he'll run all day again. He might be in his late 20's but this is the chance he's bene waiting for, and I think he'll do a good job in a s**** team.

Stephen Warnock - OK. We know all about him, but I rate him and think if he steers clear of injury he'll be considered one of the better left backs in the league.

Yossi Benayoun - If we sign him I think he'll surprise a lot of people. Not good enough to be a first choice regular in a title winning side, but I think he'd do a very good job for us on either flank and wou;d become a valuable member of the squad.

So who do you think we should keep an eye out for?

Robert Earnshaw is going to score a fair few for Derby next season. He has scored plenty of goals whereever he's been, he really is a quality player.

I also expect Agbonlahor to keep on improving. I really fancy Villa to do well next season.

Good shout.

I thought he really struggled at first, but in the last couple of months of the season he looked excellent, and I can see why Makelele wasn't getting so many games.

I also rate Scott Parker and think that now he's back in London the media pressure will probably get him back in the England squad.

James Milner's going to have a good season.

Agree with that. He shows improvement every year and he's got the experience now to really start performing consistently.

Billy Davies will certainly make a name for Billy Davies by referring to Billy Davies in the third person whenever the opportunity presents itself to Billy Davies. Billy Davies.

I love the name Diomansy. It sounds like a medieval crime.

"Alfred son of Alfred, you have been found guilty of the most heinous crime of Diomansy. You shall be rent limb from limb until your bowels be stretched from Lincoln to Circencester. And then burned."
