Strange - Gattuso was very, very complimentary about us after Istanbul, praised or spirit, said a lot of nice things. Big contrast to the "WE WAS ROBBED/CHEATED/ETC" that a lot of his team mates came out with.

He said that Hamann squealed like a girl ages ago,and apologised for saying that in his autobiography.

In his book he reckons that Gattuso's all mouth and no trousers, and that he spends his time looking tough and doesn't back it up on the pitch.Didn't say anything about disliking him, just don't think he rates him much as a player.

On a side note,Gattuso was a mentalist last night. He looked like he should be in 300.

Psychopathic tendencies not seen since Keane in his pomp.

He was taking on the Manc midfield, their hardman is Carrick FFS.

What odds on Xavi being dropped for Momo?

They wouldn't like that!

Do behave.

The defensive genius of Carrick, Scholes and Fletcher vrs any 3 from Masch, Xabi, Stevie or Momo with the tactical genius that is the Rafatollah. Gattuso wouldn't get a look in.

In his book Gerrard said Didi whined like a little girl and that Gattuso was as scary as a kitten.

Stevie is entitled to his opinion, but I don't like the trend for people to write books so early in their careers, especially when the likelihood is you will have to face people on the pitch again after putting things in print.

It's something and nothing, but my preference would be to have our captain do his talking on the pitch.

Gattuso is a good player. He is exactly the player a team like Man Utd need right now. I agree that he wouldn't get in our side, since our central midfield is so strong. But he is a noble fighter, and he shouldn't have been disrespected by our captain. It might be I'm out of touch, but I don't really like this sort of sniping via autobiographies of players still in their mid 20s.

As far as I can tell the history is that Gattusso questioned Gerrard's integrity after the penalty, so Gerrard takes a swipe about him playing to the crowd
