it can only be characterised as a failure. I dont see how you could dress it up as otherwise. From finishing 3rd with 82? points and winning the fa cup to finishing 4th with a lower points total and no silverware is a season of regression.

but thats not going to happen, no6 is on the way.....

I don't know....failure, i feel, is quite a strong word to use. The domestic scene is not quite what we expected but we still have Europe to look forward too. Anyway, imo, seasons like this often provide important lessons for the team that can only bode well for the future.

Rafa is BOSS........and so is Momo

If I wasn't certain that supporting Liverpool was a worthwhile, life-enhancing thing to do, then I too would worry about this question. As I know full well it is a "good thing" then it's not a question I ever have to ponder.

Supporting Liverpool is like life; loads of ups and downs but you're in it till the end. Actually it's better than life as there are always more ups than downs.

A learning curve.

Too many average signings don't win you titles.

There are positives you could consider

We're starting to use the width of the pitch and the squad itself is stronger than last year but ask yourself the question, has the constant rotation of our squad reaped any benefits. I'd say no, not on the evidence of our performances and the performances of our main rivals this end of the season. Our players are no fresher than United's

If I had any wish it would be that we would downscale the rotation policy I just don't feel that it has given us the edge to justify the disruption

But I doubt if Benitez will change and I have to live with that. Ijust would like to see how a settled side would cope over half a season maybe

Alas....another dud season, no nearer to PL.

Thank God for the CL!

Ignoring the fact that we just totally outplayed them, of course.

I'd be dissapointed, but also encouraged knowing that we'll have our management team plotting next season's assault from tomorrow. Rafa will have learned things this season whether we get 6 or not.

Besides the fact that man united, arsenal and chelsea all rotate equally or more than us?
